What is Fexofenadine Sandoz 120 mg and when is it used?
Fexofenadine Sandoz is an antihistamine. It is used to treat hay fever and counteracts symptoms such as sneezing, burning, watery or reddened eyes, irritated mucous membranes in the nose or throat, and nasal congestion.
When should Fexofenadine Sandoz 120 mg not be taken?
People with a known hypersensitivity to one of the components of Fexofenadine Sandoz film-coated tablets must not take Fexofenadine Sandoz.Children under 12 years of age should not take Fexofenadine Sandoz.
When should you be careful when taking Fexofenadine Sandoz 120 mg?
It is recommended to take gastric acid-inhibiting preparations with aluminum and magnesium hydroxide two hours apart from Fexofenadine Sandoz.Special studies (e.g. driving test) have shown that the active ingredient in Fexofenadine Sandoz usually does not affect performance and concentration either impaired and just as little tired or sleepy as placebo (tablets without an active ingredient). How do you use Fexofenadine Sandoz 120 mg?Adults and adolescents from the age of 12
Take 1x 1 film-coated tablet (120 mg) daily (preferably in the morning).
Do not change the prescribed dosage. Adhere to the dosage given in the package insert or prescribed by your doctor.If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Fexofenadine Sandoz 120 mg have?
The following side effects can occur when taking or using Fexofenad in Sandoz:
Common (affects 1 to 10 users in 100)
Headache, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea. The frequency of these side effects seen with the active ingredient in Fexofenadine Sandoz is similar to that seen with placebo (inactive tablets).
Uncommon (affects 1 to 10 users in 1000)
Diarrhea, dry mouth, tachycardia and palpitations.
Rare (affects 1 to 10 users in 10,000)
Tiredness, insomnia, nervousness, sleep disorders or nightmares, skin rashes, hives and itching.
Individual cases
