Description - Mebucaspray Spray Fl 30 ml
What is Mebucaspray and when is it used?
Mebucaspray contains a disinfectant (benzoxonium chloride) and a local pain-relieving agent (lidoc. hydrochloride monohydrate).
Lido., a local anesthetic, relieves the sore throat and swallowing difficulties caused by the infection.
Mebucaspray has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal effects .Mebucaspray relieves the symptoms of infections in the mouth and throat, especially sore throats (with or without difficulty swallowing), aphthous ulcers and gingivitis. Helps with angina.
When not to use Mebucaspray?
You must not use Mebucaspray if you are allergic to benzoxonium chloride, other quaternary ammonium compounds, lidoc., other local anesthetics or any other ingredient.
When should you be careful when using Mebucaspray?
Mebucaspray is not suitable for children under 4 years of age.Mebucaspray is only intended for use in the mouth and throat.
Mebucaspray should not be used shortly before or after brushing your teeth, as this would reduce its effectiveness.
Precautionary measures: If you have a sore throat accompanied by high fever, severe difficulty swallowing, or if the symptoms do not improve within 5 days, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
Patients with wounds and injuries of the oral and pharyngeal mucosa should use Mebucaspray with caution.Mebucaspray should not be used during or immediately before drinking or eating. The local anesthetic effect of lidoc. can cause temporary numbness of the tongue and oral mucosa, making it difficult to swallow. Do not drink or eat anything while the numbness persists.Do not spray Mebucaspray in the eyes, do not inhale. The throat spray tip should not be used if it is damaged.
This medicine contains 50 mg of alcohol (ethanol) per dose equivalent to 100 mg/ml (12.4% v/v).
It may cause a burning sensation on broken skin.

Can Mebucaspray be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Mebucaspray should not be used during pregnancy unless specifically prescribed by a doctor.Mebucaspray should not be used while breastfeeding.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding If you suspect that you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, you should avoid taking medicines as a precautionary measure or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.
How do you use Mebucaspray?
Do not use single doses more than every 2 - 3 hours.Do not exceed the indicated dosage.To relieve the symptoms, you should always use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time use continuously.
Do not use together with other antiseptics.
Do not use while or immediately before drinking or eating.

Adults
Spray Mebucaspray into the oral cavity or into the throat:
Hold the atomizer vertically and press it firmly 4 times with each application.
If necessary, 3 to a maximum of 6 -Apply once a day. One between usesKeep an interval of at least 2 to 3 hours.Before the first use: spray several times into the air to suck it up.
Use of Mebucaspray:
- Remove the protective cap.Put the throat spray attachment on the spray by pressing firmly.Before the first use, pump several times until an even spray mist comes out. Mebucaspray can be used immediately for further applications.After use, disinfect and dry the throat spray attachment with a clean cloth that has been moistened with a small amount of Mebucaspray.Remove the throat spray attachment and store in the folding box until the next use. Put the protective cap back on the spray.The throat spray attachment should only be used by one person to avoid the possible spread of an infection.
Children from 4 years of age
Mebucaspray can be used in children from 4 years of age, but the dose should be reduced: do not use Mebucaspray more than 2 to 3 times per application.Use 3 to a maximum of 6 times a day if necessary. Maintain an interval of at least 2 to 3 hours between applications.
Observe the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Mebucaspray have?
Some patients may be allergic to this preparation and show the following reactions: difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, severe itching with a red skin rash, n hives or hives. If you notice such reactions, you should stop the therapy and seek medical advice.
Uncommon (affects 1 to 10 users in 1000)
Irritation or a tingling sensation in the mouth and throat.
Rare (affects 1 to 10 users in 10,000)
Hypersensitivity reactions such as swelling of the face, lips , tongue or throat; shortness of breath; Itching, skin rash (hives).
Reversible brown discoloration of the tongue and/or teeth may occur if used for more than 2 weeks.
