What is Hyperimed and when is it used?

Hyperimed is a fresh plant preparation made from the fresh shoot tips of flowering St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum), from controlled organic cultivation. Hyperimed is used for depressed mood, lack of drive, imbalance, mood lability, tension, nervous restlessness and associated sleep disorders.

What should be considered?

If the symptoms persist for more than a month, medical help should be sought.

When should HyperiMed not be taken or should only be taken with caution?

If you have a known hypersensitivity to St. John's wort extracts or other components of the drug (see composition) or if hypersensitivity to light is known, Hyperimed should not be used. St. John's wort preparations may only be used in children from the age of 6 years on the express instructions of a doctor. St. John's wort preparations can weaken the effect of other medicines! Hyperimed must therefore not be used with the following medicines:- Certain medicines to inhibit the immune system (e.g. with the active ingredient ciclosporin, tacrolimus or sirolimus), as they are given after organ transplants- Anti-retroviral medicines in HIV treatment from the group of non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (e.g. nevirapine) and HIV proteinase inhibitors (e.g. Indinavir)- Certain anticancer drugs (cytostatics e.g. imatinib, irinotecan)-Tablets to inhibit blood clotting (so-called oral anticoagulants e.g. with the active ingredients acenocoumarol, phenprocoumon or warfarin).Precautionary measures:In very rare cases and especially in light-skinned people skin reactions, such as skin reddening similar to sunburn, occur after taking St. John?s wort preparations and subsequent exposure to sunlight. People who are sensitive to light should therefore protect themselves from prolonged direct sunlight during the time of applicationand refrain from visiting solariums. Hyperimed should also only be taken with the following prescription drugs under medical supervision (relative contraindications): digoxin (so-called cardiac glycosides for heart failure); birth control pills or other hormonal contraceptives (e.g. depot injections, implants placed under the skin, hormone patches placed on the skin, hormone-releasing products used vaginally, etc.) due to bleeding between periods and the risk of an unwanted pregnancy; methadone; certain antidepressants (medicines used to treat depression) or other serotonergic drugs (e.g. amitriptyline, fluoxetine or buspirone, etc.); certain medicines to treat elevated blood lipids such as simvastatin (co-medication with paravastatin, however, seems possible); midazolam (strong sleeping pills or sedatives from the benzodiazepine group) or steroid hormones such as cortisone and prednisone, which must be taken or given by infusion. Because of possible serious interactions with medicines used before or during an operation, Hyperimed should be discontinued at least 5 days before an operation and after an operation only after consultation withBe taken by a doctor. If, in addition to Hyperimed, you are taking other medicines, especially those prescribed by a doctor, please discuss this with your doctor. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking or using other medicines (including those you bought yourself!).

Can Hyperimed be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?3>

Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as intended. Systematic scientific research was carried outn but never carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

How do you use Hyperimed?

Adults: At the beginning of treatment, take 1 tablet 3 times a day with meals and some liquid. The preparation should be taken for at least 14 days until it develops its effect. After 2 weeks, 1 tablet twice a day. A therapy duration of 4 ? 6 weeks is recommended. Long-term use should only be carried out under medical supervision. Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

What side effects can Hyperimed have?

The following side effects can occur when taking Hyperimed: Occasional gastrointestinal disorders, skin reactions, tiredness or restlessness. If reddening of the skin occurs, Hyperimed should no longer be taken and the skin symptoms that occur should be clarified by a doctor. If you notice any side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor or pharmacist.

What else needs to be considered?

Hyperimed should be kept at room temperature (15 - 25 °C) and out of the reach of children. Hyperimed may only be used up to the date marked "EXP" on the container. Unused or expired packs should be returned to your pharmacist for disposal. Your doctor or pharmacist can provide you with further information. These people have the detailed technical information.
