What is Ginkgoforce and when is it used?
Ginkgoforce is a herbal medicinal product and contains a tincture of fresh leaves of the Japanese temple tree (Ginkgo biloba L). The ingredients (including ginkgoflavonoids) are said to promote blood circulation. Ginkgoforce can be used to relieve the symptoms of arteriosclerosis, especially symptoms such as forgetfulness, poor concentration and memory.
What should be considered?
Before treatment with Ginkgoforce is started, it should be clarified whether the symptoms of the disease are not based on an underlying disease that is specifically to be treated. Frequently occurring dizziness generally requires a clarification by the doctor. If symptoms do not subside within a reasonable time, you should consult your doctor or health care professional. An unbalanced diet, excessive fat consumption and smoking can increase side effects of arteriosclerosis and should be avoided or limited.
When should Ginkgoforce not be taken or only with caution?
Ginkgoforce should not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to Ginkgo biloba preparations (or other components of the drug - see composition). . Individual cases of bleeding have been reported with long-term use (whose causal connection with the intake of ginkgo preparations has not yet been clearly established). An interaction with drugs that inhibit blood clotting cannot be ruled out. The doctor should be asked or informed about the intake before surgical interventions. The medicinal product is not suitable for children and adolescents under the age of 18, as its use in this patient group has not yet been systematically checked. This medicinal product contains 488 mg alcohol (ethanol) per dose of 30 drops, equivalent to 537 mg/ml (55% w/v). The amount in 30 drops of this medicine is equivalent to less than 13ml of beer or 6ml of wine. The small amount of alcohol in this medicine has no noticeable effects. Can Ginkgoforce be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as directed. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.
How do you use Ginkgoforce?
Adults: Take 20-30 drops in a little water 3 times a day before meals. The medicinal product is not suitable for children and adolescents under the age of 18, as its use in this patient group has not yet been systematically checked. Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Ginkgoforce have?
The following side effects can occur when taking or using Ginkgoforce: Medicines containing ginkgo can very rarely cause mild gastrointestinal complaints, headaches or allergic skin reactions (redness, swelling, itching) occur. For information on the possible risk of bleeding, see the section "When should Ginkgoforce not be used or should only be used with caution?". If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.
What else needs to be considered?
The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container. Storage Instructions Store at room temperature (15-25°C). Keep medicines out of the reach of children.
