Description - Nystalocal Cream Tb 20g

What is Nystalocal and when is it used?

Nystalocal works specifically against yeast infections of the skin and mucous membranes. It is used for microbially (especially due to yeasts [Candida]) superinfected, inflammatory and weeping skin and mucous membrane diseases. Inflammation due to diaper irritation, inflammation of the female external genitals, inflammation of the penis and anal eczema can be treated with Nystalocal.Prescriptened by your doctor.

When should Nystalocal not be used?

Nystalocal must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. Nystalocal must not be applied around the eyes, in the ear, on open wounds and purulent inflammations. If you suffer from a herpes infection (e.g. cold sores), chickenpox (sharp blisters) or skin tuberculosis, treatment with Nystalocal is not suitable for you.

When should caution be advised when using Nystalocal?

Nystalocal is a powerful medicine. Do not exceed the duration of treatment prescribed by your doctor, which is usually 2 to 3 weeks, as this could damage your skin.If a skin disease does not respond to treatment within a few days or even worsens, consult your doctor. An infection by insensitive germs or an allergy could be the cause. In the event of hypersensitivity (itching, severe burning sensation), the drug should be discontinued and the doctor should be consulted. Also inform him / her if there is severe thinning of the skin and damage to the skin.Use for a longer period of time or on larger areas (more than 10% of the body surface) as well as use on areas of skin that are more absorbent (open wounds, damaged skin, skin folds, in the bends of the joints, between the fingers or toes, at the skin / mucous membrane boundaries eyes around) should be avoided. When treating diaper eczema, tight diapers or plastic pant diapers promote the absorption of the active ingredient into the bloodstream. Therefore, cloth diapers without plastic pants should be used whenever possible. In children, Nystalocal should be applied with caution, not over long periods of time and not over large areas.Only use Nystalocal for your current skin condition for which the doctor has prescribed it for you, and not for other skin conditions that may arise later. Do not give Nystalocal to anyone else.Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking or applying other medicines (including those you have bought yourself!).

Can Nystalocal be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Your doctor should decide whether to use Nystalocal during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

How do you use Nystalocal?

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, Nystalocal is applied thinly 2 to 3 times a day. Do not change the prescribed dosage on your own. If you think that the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

What side effects can Nystalocal have?

The following side effects may occur when using Nystalocal:

Uncommon (affects 1 to 10 users in 1,000)

Hypersensitivity reactions to any component of the drug can occur, especially at the start of therapy. After prolonged use, the treated skin areas can thin, small superficial blood vessels expand, skin bleeding, the formation of blue-reddish stripes, cortisone-related acne and inflammatory skin reactions in the upper lip and chin region. Local skin irritation, burning, itching or dryness may occur.

Very rare (affects less than 1 in 10,000 people)

Allergic reaction. In children, especially infants and toddlers, it should be noted that the active ingredient is increasingly absorbed into the bloodstream, so that, among other things, growth disorders can occur with prolonged use. With extensive and / or long-term use under an airtight bandage, it can suppress the body's own corticosteroid formation (steroid hormones), overactive corticosteroid formation with swelling (water retention), stretch marks, an increase in blood sugar, the development of diabetes and bone loss with increased bone fragility ( Osteoporosis). If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.
