What is Laxasan and when is it used?

Laxasan is a laxative based on sodium picosulfate, which belongs to the laxatives that have a stimulating effect on the activity of the large intestine.

Laxasan is used to treat occasional constipation (e.g. when changing diet, changing location or during bed rest). The preparation may only be taken occasionally and for no longer than 1 to 2 weeks. Long-term treatments must be under medical supervision.

What should you pay attention to?

If you suffer from constipation, you should eat high-fiber food (vegetables, fruit, wholemeal bread) and drink plenty of fluids regularly and Pay attention to physical activity (sport)!

Notes for diabetics: A daily dose of 28 drops corresponds to 0.1 BW. The drug is suitable for diabetics.

When should Laxasan not be taken/used?

How do you use Laxasan?

In general, unless otherwise directed:

Adults: 14-28 drops.

Children and adolescents

Adolescents from 12 to 18 years of age: 7-14 drops.

Children from 4 to 12 years of age: only on prescription from a doctor.

Children under 4 years of age: Laxasan must not be used on children under 4 years of age .Take the drops with or without water. The effect can start after 4 to 6 hours after ingestion. Taken in the evening, it does not work until the next morning due to the longer intestinal passage time.If the stool is too soft or too hard after the first dose, the dosage for the following doses is increased by 2-3 drops each time reduce or increase until the optimal dose is found.
