What is DuoFer and when is it used?
DuoFer is an iron supplement used to prevent and treat iron deficiency. Iron deficiency can occur when there is an increased need (e.g. pregnancy, growth), increased loss (e.g. bleeding) or reduced supply (e.g. insufficient iron content in food). Anemia in particular can occur as a result of iron deficiency.
DuoFer contains two iron salts that are effective in the treatment of anemia and have different dissolving properties, which means that a continuous release is achieved in the gastrointestinal tract. DuoFer also contains vitamin C, which counteracts iron oxidation and promotes iron absorption through the intestinal mucosa.

However, the patient notices paleness, a certain degree of tiredness and a loss of performance with slowing down, especially in the case of acute anemia. The low content of iron and blood pigment (hemoglobin) in the blood should be confirmed by suitable tests have been used.
When should DuoFer not be used?

Also in the case of justified intolerance, e.g. severe inflammatory changes in the gastrointestinal tract and stomach ulcers, as well as severe liver or kidney diseases. Your doctor knows what to do in such cases.
