Pantothen sprinkles contain the active ingredient pantothenic acid, which is found in all tissues and belongs to the group of B vitamins. Pantothenic acid is involved in building and repairing the skin and mucous membranes. The active ingredient is incorporated into an ointment base with a high fat content and is generally suitable for dry skin and as moisture protection. Pantothen Streuli Ointment can be used

  • for dry, rough and chapped skin, e.g. after showering or bathing
  • for breast care during breastfeeding and for treating sore nipples and breast fissures
  • for treatment or prevention of soreness, skin redness and diaper inflammation in baby care
  • to promote wound healing and skin regeneration in the case of minor burns and abrasions and skin irritations.

What is Pantothen-Streuli and when is it used?

What should do you have to pay attention to this?

Infected wounds and wounds with a risk of infection should not be treated with Pantothen litter. Large, heavily soiled and deep wounds, as well as bite and puncture wounds require medical treatment (risk of tetanus). If the size of a wound remains unchanged for some time, local deterioration occurs, or the wound does not heal within 10-14 days, a doctor's visit is also necessary. Likewise, if the edges of the wound are very red, the wound suddenly swells, is very painful or if your general condition deteriorates (e.g. fever - risk of blood poisoning), you should consult a doctor immediately.

When must Pantothen streusel not be used?

If you are hypersensitive to the active ingredient pantothenic acid or any other component of the preparation, you must not use Pantothen streusel.

When should you be careful when using pantotheen litter?

Avoid pantothene litter coming into contact with the eyes. When treated with the ointment, some of the additives can reduce the tear strength of latex products. If used as intended, no special precautions need to be taken. The ointment contains

  • Wool wax, which can cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).Methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), which can cause allergic reactions, including delayed reactions .2 mg ethanol per 1 g of ointment, which can cause a burning sensation on damaged skin.

Can Pantothen Streuuli be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Pantothen Streuuli can be used during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as intended. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Pantothen sprinkles?

  • For dry and sore skin: Apply Pantothen sprinkles as needed- up to several times a day.For breast care: After each breast application, apply Pantothen-streuuli ointment to a piece of gauze and cover the nipples with it. The ointment adhering to the warts must be carefully and completely wiped away before the child is next attached.For baby care: After each draining, spread pantotheen sprinkles over the buttocks and genital region of the infants after these body parts have been thoroughly cleaned with water.

Follow the dosage given in the package insert or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Pantothen litter have?

In connection with the use of Pantothen litter, allergic reactions or allergic skin reactions with contact dermatitis, itching, redness of the skin have been reported in rare cases , eczema, rash, hives, skin irritation or blisters have been observed. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

Store the tube tightly closed at room temperature (15-25 °C) and out of the reach of children.

1 g ointment contains: 50 mg calcium pantothenate.

Excipients

Wool wax, wool wax alcohols, methyl paraben (E 218), propyl paraben (E 216), ethanol 96%, white beeswax, cetyl palmitate, viscous paraffin, native castor oil, medium-chain Triglycerides, White Vaseline, Ozokerite, Glycerol Monooleate, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycerol Isostearate, Polyglyceryly-3-oleate, Purified Water.
