What is Mg 5-Longoral and when is it used?

Mg5-Longoral is a chewable tablet that supplies the body with magnesium in a form in which magnesium can be easily absorbed and in sufficient quantities . Magnesium is a vital element that is important for many metabolic processes in the human body. It is assumed that adults need 300-400 mg of magnesium per day (1 chewable tablet of Mg5-Longoral contains 5 mmol, corresponding to 121.5 mg of magnesium as DL-hydrogen aspartate tetrahydrate).Mg5-Longoral is:

• to cover an increased need (e.g. growth, high-performance sport, pregnancy, breastfeeding),with a low-magnesium diet,
• for calf cramps,

used.On medical prescription or on the advice of the pharmacist, Mg5-Longoral can also be used for:

• Muscle twitching,Disorders of muscle activity or muscular cramps

.Mg5-Longoral is prescribed by the doctor or prescribed by the doctor:

• in the event of premature contractions during pregnancy,in the event of imminent premature birth,in the event of Disorders of cardiac activity,in the case of persistent diarrhea and as additional therapy with diuretic medication.

When must Mg 5-Longoral not be taken/used?

Mg5-Longoral must not be used in the following cases: p>

• in the case of kidney dysfunction,in the case of disturbances in the conduction of impulses in the heart,in the case of a predisposition to kidney stone formation (magnesium-calcium-ammoniophosphate stones),if the body is severely dehydrated (exsiccosis),if you are hypersensitive to one of the ingredients,if you have a known intolerance to sorbitol (fructose intolerance).

When is caution required when taking/using Mg5-Longoral?

Patients suffering from moderate renal insufficiency may only take Mg5-Longoral after consulting a doctor.If the cramps last longer than 10 days, you should consult a doctor.Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if You suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally, such as medicines that contain iron, fluorine, or tetracycline antibiotics.

May Mg 5-Longoral during pregnancy or taken/used while breastfeeding?

According to your doctor, Mg5-Longoral may be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

How do you use Mg 5-Longoral ?

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the following dosage is recommended for Mg5-Longoral:

Adults and adolescents from the age of 12: 1 to 3 times a day 1 tablet.

Children from 6 years of age: ½ a tablet 1 to 3 times a day.

Allow the tablets to melt in the mouth or chew them before meals and take them with some liquid if necessary.

The use and safety of Mg5-Longoral have not yet been methodically tested in children under the age of 6.

What side effects can Mg 5-Longoral have?

The following side effects can occur when taking Mg5-Longoral.Occasional side effects in more than 1 in 1,000 cases but can occur in less than 1 in 100 cases: high doses can cause soft stools, which are harmless. If diarrhea occurs, the daily dose is reduced or the preparation is discontinued, unless it has been prescribed by the doctor.
