What is Zeller Balsam, liquid and when is it used?

Zeller Balsam, liquid is a proven herbal medicinal product. Its effectiveness is due to the properties of carefully selected and extracted medicinal plants (aromatic resins, roots, bark and flowers).Anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, analgesic and digestive properties are attributed to these various plant components.Zeller Balsam, liquid is indicated for the following complaints:Internally : For digestive problems such as feeling of fullness after eating, belching, stomach cramps, loss of appetite.For digestive problems that occur as a result of modern lifestyles, such as irregular and hasty eating, unfamiliar food when traveling and unfamiliar eating habits.Externally : As a mouthwash and gargle for colds (coughs, catarrh).

What precautions should be taken?

Digestive problems in children under the age of 12 must be clarified by a doctor. Therefore, the preparation should not be used in these cases without medical advice.Stomach problems that manifest themselves as pain or pressure pain in a specific area or are associated with a general feeling of illness require medical advice.Remember that certain stimulants such as coffee, alcohol, nicotine and certain medications such as painkillers and rheumatism drugs can cause stomach problems.This medicinal product contains a maximum of 3 mg digestible carbohydrates per single dose (3 ml).

When should Zeller Balsam, liquid not be taken or only with caution?

Zeller Balsam, liquid should not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients (see «What does Zeller Balsam, liquid contain?»).This medicine contains 37% alcohol by volume. If the recommended dosage is observed, up to 0.93 g of alcohol is consumed with each intake. There is a health risk for people with liver disease, alcoholism, epilepsy, people with brain damage, pregnant women and breastfeeding women. The effect of other medicines may be increased or decreased.Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you

Can Zeller Balsam, liquid, be taken/used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

How do you use Zeller Balsam, liquid?

For internal use, adults and adolescents from the age of 12 take a measuring pipette (equivalent to 3 ml) up to three times a day before or after meals. Zeller Balsam, liquid can be taken pure, drizzled onto a piece of sugar or diluted with water.For gargling use 1-2 measuring pipettes full in half a glass of warm water.Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Zeller Balsam, liquid have?

If skin reactions occur (redness, itching), further use should be avoided and a doctor consulted if necessary.If you notice any side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
