When is Anaemodoron used?
According to anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, Anaemodoron can be used to stimulate iron utilization in the event of an iron absorption disorder. Anaemodorone is a herbal combination preparation. Its components can stimulate the metabolic processes, thereby promoting the absorption of iron from the digestive tract and thus making the iron more readily available to the organism. Anaemodoron can be used as a supplement to an existing iron therapy or as a substitute in the event of intolerance (after consultation with the doctor). By supporting the general constructive metabolic processes, Anaemodoron can have a strengthening effect, especially in children with loss of appetite and poor digestion.
What should be considered?
If the symptoms worsen or if they do not improve, inform your doctor or pharmacist. This medicinal product contains 0.1 g digestible carbohydrate per single dose. If your doctor has prescribed other medicines for you, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether Anaemodorone can be taken at the same time.
When should Anaemodoron not be taken or when should it be taken with caution?
Anaemodoron should not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to strawberries or any other ingredient, or if children are under 6 years of age. This medicine contains sucrose. Therefore, please only take Anaemodoron after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars. Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you
- suffer from other illnesses,
- have allergies or
- take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!).
Can Anaemodoron be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as directed. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.
How do you use Anaemodoron?
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, Anaemodoron is taken as follows: Adults and adolescents from the age of 12: 10-20 drops in a little water 3 times a day before meals for 2-3 months. Children over 6 years: 5-10 drops 3 times a day. For children under 6 years of age, only use if prescribed by a doctor. Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If the desired improvement does not occur during treatment of a child, a doctor should be consulted with him or her. Shake the bottle before use as precipitation is possible. A turbidity in the dropping liquid does not mean a loss of quality. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Anaemodorone have?
Allergic skin reactions and hypersensitivity can occur very rarely. Then Anaemodoron should no longer be taken. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.
What else needs to be considered?
Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature (15-25°C). The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container. Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information.
What does Anaemodoron contain?
1 g dropping liquid contains: Large nettle, fresh whole plant, ethanol. Extract [plant to extractant = 1:0.9; Extraction agent: ethanol 66% (m/m) with sucrose (3:2)] 540 mg / wild strawberries, fresh aggregate fruits, ethanol. Extract [fruits to extract medium = 1:0.9; Extraction agent: ethanol 66% (m/m) with sucrose (3:2)] 270 mg / honey 50 mg. Excipients: purified water, ethanol (alcohol), gum arabic. Contains 21% alcohol by volume. 1 g of dripping liquid corresponds to approx. 43 drops.
