When is Weleda calendula ointment used?
According to anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, Weleda calendula ointment can be used for the local treatment of superficial wounds, abrasions and inflammation of the skin.
Weleda calendula ointment has an anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effect. It promotes normal blood circulation in the skin and stimulates wound granulation. Its effect is based on an extract from the medicinal plant Calendula officinalis (pot marigold). This is in an ointment base, which is usually well tolerated by the skin.
What should be considered?
If the general condition worsens, e.g. fever occurs, a doctor must be consulted immediately. If local deterioration occurs or if healing does not occur within 2-3 weeks, you should inform your doctor or pharmacist.
If your doctor or doctor has prescribed other medicines for you, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether Weleda Calendula Ointment may be used at the same time.
When should Weleda Calendula Ointment not be used or only with caution?
Weleda Calendula -Ointment should not be used if you are hypersensitive to asteraceae (Arnica, Calendula) or wool wax (Adeps lanae).Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you
- suffer from other diseases,have allergies ortake other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or take them externally use.
How do you use Weleda Calendula Ointment?
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, Weleda Calendula Ointment is applied to the affected area several times a day.Stick to the dosage given in the package insert or prescribed by the doctor.If the desired improvement does not occur when treating a small child/child, consult a doctor with him.

What side effects can Weleda Calendula Ointment have?
In rare cases, allergic skin reactions and hypersensitivity can occur. Weleda Calendula Ointment should then no longer be used.
