What is Leucene burn and wound gel and when is it used?

Leucen burn and wound gel is a water-soluble, cooling gel that is used to treat small skin injuries, abrasions, inflamed skin areas, insect bites, minor burns and light, small-area sunburn. Leucene burn and wound gel has a disinfecting, pain-relieving effect and promotes wound healing. The gel base can be easily spread over the skin without applying pressure.

When shouldn't Leucene burn and wound gel be used?

Leucen burn and wound gel shouldn't be used if there is hypersensitivity to an ingredient.Leucen burn and wound gel shouldn't be used on large, heavily soiled and deep wounds, as well as bite and puncture wounds. These require medical treatment (risk of tetanus).

Do not apply to large areas.

When is caution required when using Leucene Burn and Wound Gel?

Leucen Brand and Wound Gel is only intended for external use on the skin. Do not ingest!

Leucen Burn and Wound Gel should not be applied to mucous membranes or in the immediate vicinity of the eyes.

If the size of a wound remains unchanged for some time or if the wound does not heal within 10-14 days, a doctor's visit is required. If the edges of the wound are very red, the wound suddenly swells, is very painful or the general condition deteriorates (fever), a doctor must be consulted immediately (risk of blood poisoning).

The excipient macrogolglycerol ricinoleate or other components of Leucen Brand- und Wundgel can cause skin irritation. If new skin irritations occur during treatment, the use of Leucene burn and wound gel should be discontinued.Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you

  • suffer from other diseases,have allergies ortake or use external medicines (including those you bought yourself!)!

May Leucen Burn and Wound Gel be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

So far, there is no or only very limited experience with the use of Leucen Burn and Wound Gel during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Therefore, Leucen Burn and Wound Gel should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless prescribed by a doctor.

How do you use Leucen Burn and Wound Gel?

Adults and young people from the age of 12:

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, carefully apply a thin layer of Leucene burn and wound gel to the affected areas of skin. The application is repeated when the pain-relieving and cooling effect wears off.

Do not use Leucen burn and wound gel over a long period of time.

The use and safety of Leucen burn and wound gel in children under the age of 12 has not yet been tested.

Stick to the dosage given in the package insert or prescribed by the doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Leucen Burn and Wound Gel have?

The following side effects can occur when using Leucen Burn and Wound Gel:Skin reactions such as swelling, redness, itching or burning as well as hypersensitivity reactions or Allergic reactions occur.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor, pharmacist or druggiststin. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.
