What is Geli-Stop and when is it used?
Geli-Stop are tablets for use in acute diarrhea. They work a short time after ingestion. The urge to defecate disappears, voiding occurs less frequently, and the stool becomes consistent again. The effect of Geli-Stop is based on pectin, tannin albuminate and magnesium peroxide. Because of its ability to swell, the pectin is highly water-binding and therefore has a filling effect. It also has a high absorption capacity for bacteria and toxic metabolites. Tannin albuminate is a non-irritating tannic acid compound that has an anti-inflammatory effect on the intestinal mucosa and therefore also constipates. Magnesium peroxide has an inhibiting effect on fermentation processes due to the oxygen released. The combination of the three active ingredients also results in a disinfecting effect.
When should Geli-Stop not be taken?
In the case of hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients of Geli-Stop.
Because of the active ingredient tannin albumin, Geli-Stop should not be taken in the event of an allergy to cow's milk protein. Geli-Stop is not suitable for children under the age of 6.
When is caution required when taking Geli-Stop?

In the case of infectious diarrhea of ??an acute or chronic nature accompanied by fever and suspected blood in the stool, severe nausea, vomiting and dizziness, a doctor must be consulted.
