What is Bekuni's Purifying Tea Ready-to-Cup and when is it used?

Bekunis Laxative Tea ready-to-cup contains the extract of the senna fruit with its active ingredients (sennosides). It can be used for short-term use in the event of occasional constipation.

What should you bear in mind?

If you suffer from constipation, you should eat fiber-rich food (vegetables, fruit, wholemeal bread) and drink plenty of fluids regularly and be physically active (sports)!

When should Bekunis Laxative Tea be used with caution or not at all?

In the event of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or one of the excipients According to the composition, Bekunis Laxative Tea ready-to-cup must not be taken.

Bekunis Laxative Tea ready-to-cup must not be used for all gastrointestinal diseases and disorders of the water and salt balance. For children under the age of 12 only use on medical prescription.

Laxatives should only be taken occasionally and for no longer than one to two weeks because of possible habituation.

Chronic use/abuse or use of higher than recommended doses can lead to diarrhea with water loss and disturbances in salt balance (especially potassium loss). Particular caution is therefore required in patients who are simultaneously taking certain water-propelling medications (diuretics), medicines containing liquorice root, corticosteroids, certain antihistamines (such as terfenadine), medicines for heart muscle weakness (cardiac glycosides such as digoxin) and certain medicines for heart rhythm disorders (antiarrhythmics).Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist or your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from diseases, allergies n or are taking other medicines (including those you bought yourself!)!

Can Bekunis Laxative Tea ready-to-cup be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

During pregnancy and while breastfeeding, Bekunis Laxative Tea ready-to-cup may only be taken after consultation with the doctor.

How do you use Bekunis Laxative Tea ready-to-cup?

Adults and adolescents from the age of 1 2 years: Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, put 325 mg to 975 mg (1 to 3 measuring spoons) of powder in a cup, pour cold or warm water over it, stir and drink. It is recommended to drink the tea before going to bed. (Onset of effect after approx. 10 hours). Daily dose: 1 cup in the evening. The use and safety of Bekunis purgative tea ready-to-cup, powder in children under the age of 12 has not yet been tested.

Stick to the dosage given in the package insert or prescribed by the doctor. If you think the drug is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Bekunis Laxative Tea ready-to-cup have?

The following side effects can occur when taking Bekunis purgative tea ready-to-cup:

Spasmodic gastrointestinal complaints can occur very rarely. In these cases, a reduction in dose is required. Very rarely, hypersensitivity reactions in the form of itching, hives (urticaria), skin rash, either localized or covering the whole body (so-called local or generalized exanthema) can occur. A harmless red discoloration of the urine may occur during the course of treatment. If you notice any side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What else needs to be considered?

Keep medicines out of the reach of children! Store at room temperature (15 - 25 °C) and dry!

The medicinal product may only be used up to dem on the container with the "Use by" date.

What does Bekunis Laxative Tea ready-to-cup contain?

1 dosing spoon of powder (equivalent to 325 mg) contains: 100.1-166.7 mg dry extract from senna fruits standardized to 10 mg hydroxyanthracene derivatives calculated as sennoside B, DEV (4-6:1), extraction agent: water.This preparation contains additional excipients: gelatine and maltodextrin.
