What is Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée and when is it used?

Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée is a concentrate for local fluoridation of tooth substance and to increase caries resistance. Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée contains caries-inhibiting amine and sodium fluoride, is to be used externally on the tooth surface and has a more concentrated fluoride content than toothpaste. It is therefore not used daily, but at weekly intervals. This periodic fluoridation effect is maintained or intensified by daily toothbrushing with fluoride toothpaste.

When should Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée not be used?

Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée should not be used on children under the age of 6, as the swallowing reflex is not yet fully developed. Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée should not be used in the event of hypersensitivity to this product or one of the ingredients.

When should caution be exercised when using Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée?

If you have bone and/or enamel fluorosis, do not use Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée.Use carefully if the swallowing reflex cannot be controlled.Users who use azo dyes , acetylsalicylic acid and rheumatism and painkillers (prostaglandin inhibitors) should not use Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée.Inform your doctor, dentist, pharmacist or druggist if yousuffer from other diseases, have allergies or take other medicines (even those you bought yourself!) or use them externally

Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée may be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding ?

Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as intended. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée?

Adults and children over 6 years of age: Unless otherwise prescribed, once a week in the evening, after brushing your teeth. Apply a pea-sized amount of Paro Fluor jelly and brush it into your teeth for 1-2 minutes. Spit out excess, but do not rinse. Use should be monitored in children under 8 years of age.

At school:

In schools, the Paro Amin-Fluoro Gelée is suitable as a fluoridation agent for the toothbrush exercises taught in classes as part of school caries prevention. The frequency of use depends on the organizational possibilities of the municipality/school. The type of application is as described.

In dental and clinical practice:

Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée can be applied like a touch-up agent using a cotton swab or a brush. The application with the help of the Mini-Plast splint or an appropriately shaped wax spoon is particularly effective and sustainable. In the case of high caries activity in children from the age of 8, it is recommended to discharge patients with small jelly residues in the fissures and interdental spaces.

What side effects can Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée have?

The following side effects can occur when using Paro Amin-Fluor Gelée:Can trigger hypersensitivity reactions of the mucous membrane and respiratory organs, especially in patients with asthma, nettle fever (chronic urtic aria) or with exSensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid and other rheumatism and painkillers.If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, dentist, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.
