What is Cardiplant 450 and when is it used?

Cardiplant 450 is a herbal remedy based on an alcoholic extract of hawthorn leaves with flowers. The high-dose extract used is adjusted to a fixed content of procyanidins, which ensures consistent quality.Cardiplant 450 is used for nervous heart problems. Nervous heart problems manifest themselves as follows: rapid pulse, palpitations, stabbing heart, dizziness, pressure and anxiety in the heart area.

What should you bear in mind?

If an irregular pulse, severe palpitations, stabbing pains in the chest area and shortness of breath occur suddenly or last longer, you should consult a doctor. They will determine whether the heart or the vessels are organically diseased or whether the symptoms are caused by nerves.

When should Cardiplant 450 not be taken or only with caution?

How do you use Cardiplant 450?

Unless otherwise prescribed, adults take 1-2 film-coated tablets daily with some liquid. If you are taking 2 film-coated tablets, it is advisable to take 1 film-coated tablet in the morning and 1 film-coated tablet in the evening. The use and safety of Cardiplant 450 in children and adolescents under the age of 18 has not yet been tested. The medicine is therefore not used in this age group.Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Cardiplant 450 have?

Like all medicines, Cardiplant 450 can have side effects, although not everyone gets them. Hypersensitivity reactions may occur. The frequency is not known.If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

The medicine may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container.

What does Cardiplant 450 contain?

One film-coated tablet contains: 450 mg dry extract of hawthorn leaves with flowers (4?6.6:1), quantified to 71.6?97.0 mg oligomeric procyanidins. Extraction agent: ethanol 45% (m/m). This preparation also contains auxiliary substances and the dye iron oxide (E 172).
