Description - Paro Fluor Jelly Sodium Fluoride Mint Fl 200 ml

What is Paro Fluor Gelée and when is it used?

Paro Fluor Gelée is a concentrate for local fluoridation of tooth enamel and to increase caries resistance. Paro Fluor Gelée is pH-neutral (pH value 6.7-7.3) and contains sodium fluoride to prevent tooth decay. There is a close relationship between the fluoride content of tooth enamel and its resistance to dental caries (tooth decay). Caries resistance increases with increasing fluoride content. A constant supply of fluoride has therefore proven to be an effective measure against dental caries. Paro Fluor Gelée is to be used externally on the tooth surface and its fluoride content is more concentrated than toothpaste. It is therefore not used daily, but at weekly intervals. This periodic fluoridation effect is maintained or intensified by daily toothbrushing with fluoride.

When should Paro Fluor Gelée not be used?

Paro Fluor Gelée should not be used on children under 6 years of age, as the swallowing reflex is not yet fully developed. Paro Fluor Gelée should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to this product or any of the ingredients.

When should caution be exercised when using Paro Fluor Gelée?

If you have bone and/or enamel fluorosis, do not use Paro Fluor Gelée. Only use cautiously if the swallowing reflex cannot be controlled. Supervise children under 8 years of age when using it.
