Neo-angin spray with lidoc. and chlorhexidine contains the active ingredients lidoc. and chlorhexidine digluconate. While chlorhexidine digluconate has a disinfecting effect, lidoc. relieves pain and dysphagia on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx. Neo-angin spray with lidoc. and chlorhexidine is used for the local treatment of acute inflammatory diseases in the mouth and throat, such as aphthae, inflammation of the gums and oral mucosa. With a prescription, neo-angin spray with lidoc. and chlorhexidine can also be used to help treat tonsillitis (angina), laryngitis, pharyngitis or fungal infections.

When must neo-angin spray with lidoc. and chlorhexidine not be used?

Neo-angin spray with lidoc. and chlorhexidine must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients . Patients with hypersensitivity to local anesthetics in general should not use neo-angin spray with lidoc. and chlorhexidine.

When is caution required when using neo-angin spray with lidoc. and chlorhexidine?

The spray should not be used on bleeding wounds in the mouth or throat. If the fever is higher or if there is no improvement within a week, a doctor should be consulted. Do not swallow any remaining liquid in the mouth, but spit it out after use. Avoid eye contact. With regular use, a yellow or brown discoloration of the teeth can occur, which can be removed by intensive tooth cleaning.
