Description - Natecal D melting tablets 120 pcs

What is Natecal D and when is it used?

Natecal D is a combination of calcium carbonate and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol).

The preparation is suitable as a calcium and vitamin D supplement in adults with calcium and vitamin D deficiencies or in persons at high risk of a deficiency (e.g. insufficient consumption of dairy products, insufficient exposure to the sun) and to support a specific osteopathy porose therapy in patients with a proven or high risk of simultaneous calcium and vitamin D deficiency.

What should be considered?

Note for diabetics: 1 orodispersible tablet contains 602.7 mg of carbohydrates = 10.094 kJ (2.411 kcal).

When should Natecal D not be used?

In the event of hypersensitivity to an ingredient, in the event of an increased Calcium levels in the blood (hypercalcaemia), increased calcium excretion in the urine (hypercalciuria), severely impaired kidney function (renal insufficiency), kidney or bladder stones, existing vitamin D treatment.

Natecal D must not be used if you have phenylketonuria.

When should caution be exercised when taking Natecal D?

In the case of treatment with a biphosphonate, sodium fluoride, cholestyramine, iron preparations or paraffin, a time interval of at least 2 hours should be observed before taking Natecal. > Natecal D should not be taken at the same time with food that contains oxalic acid, phosphate or phytin, e.g. spinach, rhubarb, clever or soybean products. These products can hinder the absorption of calcium. An interval of at least 2 hours should be observed.

Can Natecal D be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, you should not take Natecal D unless expressly prescribed by a doctor.

How do you use Natecal D?

Older adults take 1 to 2 orodispersible tablets per day.Dissolve the tablet in your mouth without water. The tablet dissolves in a few minutes and has a slight tingling effect.

Natecal D is not intended for use in children and adolescents under the age of 18.

What side effects can Natecal D have?
