What is Contra-Pain IL 400 and when is it used?
Contra-Pain IL 400 contains the active ingredient ibuprofen as lysinate. This has pain-relieving, fever-reducing and anti-inflammatory properties.Contra-Pain IL 400 is suitable for short-term treatment, i.e. for a maximum of 3 days treatment of:
- Pain in the area of ??joints and ligaments;Back pain;Headache;Toothache;Pain during the menstrual period;Pain after injury;Fever with a flu.
When should Contra-Scherz IL 400 not be taken?
Contra-Scherz IL 400 should not be used
- if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or after taking acetylsalicylic acid or other pain or R allergy-like skin reactions;if you are pregnant or breastfeeding (see also «Can Contra-Scherz IL 400 be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?»);if you have active stomach and/or duodenal ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding;if you have chronic intestinal inflammation (Cr ohn, ulcerative colitis);in severe impairment of liver or kidney function;in severe cardiac output weakness;for the treatment of pain after coronary bypass surgery on the heart (or use of a heart-lung machine);in children under 12 years of age. Contra-Schmerz IL 400 has not been tested for use in children under the age of 12.
When is caution required when taking Contra-Schmerz IL 400?
During treatment with Contra-Schmerz IL 400, mucosal ulcers in the upper gastrointestinal tract, rarely bleeding or, in isolated cases, perforations (stomach or intestinal perforations) may occur. These complications can occur at any time during treatment, even without warning symptoms. To reduce this risk, the smallest effective dose should be used over the shortest possible duration of therapy. Contact your doctor if you have stomach pain and suspect it is related to taking the medicine.Serious skin reactions have been reported in association with treatment with products containing ibuprofen. If a skin rash, lesions of the mucous membranes, blisters or other signs of allergy occur, you should stop treatment with Contra-Schmerz IL 400 and seek medical treatment immediately, as these can be the first signs of a very serious skin reaction (see «What side effects can Contra-Scherz IL 400 have?»).Avoid using Contra-Schmerz IL 400 during a chickenpox infection (varicella infection). ).Contra-Pain IL 400 can mask signs of infection such as fever and pain. It is therefore possible that Contra-Scherz IL 400 may delay adequate treatment of the infection, which may lead to an increased risk of complications. This has been seen in bacterial pneumonia and bacterial skin infections associated with chickenpox. If you are taking this medicine during an infection and your infection symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor immediately.Older people may be more sensitive to the medicine than younger adults. It is particularly important that older patients report any side effects to their doctor immediately.
In the following situations, you may only use Contra-Schmerz IL 400 if prescribed by a doctorexercise and under medical supervision:
- if you are currently being treated by a doctor for a serious illness;if you have previously had a stomach or duodenal ulcer;if you have had a heart attack, stroke or venous thrombosis, or if you have risk factors (such as high blood pressure, diabetes (diabetes), high blood fat levels, smoking); for certain painkillers with a similar effect, the so-called COX-2 inhibitors, an increased risk of heart attack and stroke has been found at high doses and/or long-term treatment. It is not known whether this increased risk also applies to Contra-Pain IL 400;if you have heart disease or kidney disease, if you are taking medicines for high blood pressure (e.g. diuretics, ACE inhibitors) or if you have increased fluid loss, e.g. through heavy sweating; taking Contra-Schalm IL 400 can impair the function of your kidneys, which can lead to an increase in blood pressure and/or fluid retention (oedema);if you have liver disease;if you are being treated with anticoagulants (blood thinners, anticoagulants) or suffer from a blood clotting disorder;if you suffer from asthma;if you have rheumatism medicines or other painkillers (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid, aspirin);if you are taking medicines to treat diabetes (other than insulin), medicines to increase urine output (diuretics), medicines to treat infections (quinolone antibiotics) or medicines containing any of the following: lithium, digoxin, methotrexate, baclofen, phenytoin, probenecid or sulfinpyrazone.

You may only take Contra-Schmerz IL 400 on prescription and under medical supervision in the following situations:

Prolonged use of any type of pain reliever for headaches can make them worse. If this occurs or is suspected, medical advice should be sought and treatment discontinued. A diagnosis of Medication Overuse Headache (MOH) should be suspected in patients who experience frequent or daily headaches despite (or because of) their regular use of headache medication.There is a risk of renal dysfunction in dehydrated children and adolescents.You should not drink alcohol when taking Contra-Schmerge IL 400.When using higher doses of Contra-Schermer IL 400 Central nervous side effects such as tiredness and dizziness occur. Therefore, in individual cases, the ability to react may be altered and the ability to actively participate in road traffic and to operate machines may be impaired. This applies to a greater extent in combination with alcohol.

Can Contra-Schmerz IL 400 be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding?Pregnancy
If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, you should only take Contra-Schmerz IL 400 after consulting your doctor. Contra-Schmerz IL 400 must not be taken during the last third of pregnancy.
Breastfeeding
Contra-Schmerz IL 400 should not be taken while breastfeeding unless your doctor has expressly permitted you to do so.
How do you use Contra-Schmerz IL 400?Adults and children from the age of 12
N take 1 film tablet Contra-Pain IL 400 whole with plenty of liquid during or after a meal. Maintain an interval of 6-8 hours between two single doses. Do not take more than 3 film-coated tablets Contra-Schmerz IL 400 (= 1200 mg ibuprofen) per day without a doctor's prescription.Do not use Contra-Schmerz IL 400 for longer than 3 days without a doctor's prescription.
Children under the age of 12
Contra-Schmerz IL 400 must not be used in children under the age of 12. The use and safety of Contra-Schmerz IL 400 in children under the age of 12 have not been systematically tested.
Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor.
The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest time necessary to relieve symptoms. If you have an infection, consult a doctor immediately if the symptoms (e.g. fever and pain) persist or worsen (see «When should you be careful when taking Contra-Pain IL 400»).If you have taken more Contra-Pain IL 400 than you should, or if children have accidentally taken the medicine, always consult a doctor to avoid Get an assessment of the risk and advice on further treatment.Symptoms may include nausea, stomach pain, vomiting (possibly with blood), headache, ringing in the ears, confusion and eye tremors. At high doses, drowsiness, chest pain, palpitations, fainting, convulsions (especially in children), weakness and dizziness, blood in the urine, feeling cold and breathing problems have been reported.If you forget to take a dose, do not take more than the usual recommended amount for the next dose.If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. What side effects can Contra-Schmerz IL 400 have?
The following side effects can occur when taking Contra-Schmerz IL 400:
Common (affects 1 to 10 out of 100 users)
gastrointestinal symptoms such as heartburn, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, Diarrhoea, constipation and minor gastrointestinal blood loss, which in exceptional cases can cause anemia.
Uncommon (affects 1 to 10 users in 1000)

Occasionally headache, dizziness, excitability, irritability, tiredness and visual disturbances can occur. Mouth mucusinflammation with ulceration, worsening of ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease (see «When should Contra-Schmerz IL 400 not be taken?») or inflammation of the gastric mucosa (gastritis).
Rarely (affects 1 to 10 users in 10,000)
ringing in the ears (tinnitus) occurs after taking Contra-Schmerz IL 400.
Very rarely (affects less than 1 in 10,000 users)
haemopoietic disorders have been observed after taking Contra-Pain IL 400. The first signs can be: fever, sore throat, superficial wounds in the mouth, flu-like symptoms, severe exhaustion, nosebleeds and skin bleeding. In these cases, the drug should be discontinued immediately and the doctor consulted. Any self-treatment with pain or fever-reducing drugs should be avoided.Also very rarely, heart palpitations, cardiac muscle weakness, heart attack or high blood pressure have been observed.Inflammation of the esophagus or pancreas or the formation of membrane-like constrictions in the small and large intestine has been observed very rarely. If severe pain in the upper abdomen, vomiting of blood, blood in the stool and/or the stool turns black, you must discontinue Contra-Schmerz IL 400 and inform the doctor immediately.
Severe general hypersensitivity reactions can occur very rarely, which can manifest as facial oedema, tongue swelling, inner larynx swelling with narrowing of the airways, shortness of breath, palpitations, drop in blood pressure and even a dangerous shock. Immediate medical attention is required if one of these symptoms occurs, which can occur even with the first application.The following side effects may also occur very rarely: psychotic reactions, depression; Liver dysfunction, liver damage, especially in long-term therapy, liver failure, acute liver inflammation; Increased water retention in the tissues (oedema), especially in patients with high blood pressure or impaired kidney function; nephrotic syndrome (water retention in the body (oedema) and excessive protein excretion in the urine); Inflammatory kidney disease, which can be accompanied by acute renal dysfunction, damage to kidney tissue and increased levels of uric acid in the blood. Reduced urine output, accumulation of water in the body (oedema) and general malaise can be signs of kidney disease and even kidney failure. If the symptoms mentioned occur or worsen, you must discontinue Contra-Pain IL 400 and contact your doctor immediately.Severe skin reactions such as skin rashes with reddening and blistering (e.g. Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis/Lyell syndrome) and hair loss have been observed very rarely.
Individual cases
In exceptional cases, a Severe skin infections and soft tissue complications can occur during chickenpox infection.With an unknown frequency, a serious skin reaction known as DRESS syndrome can occur. Symptoms of DRESS include rash, fever, swollen lymph nodes and an increase in eosinophils (a type of white blood cell).A red, scaly, widespread rash with bumps under the skin and blisters accompanied by fever and primarily on the skin folds, trunk and upper extremities (acute generalized pustular rash) has been observed at the start of treatment with an unknown frequency. Discontinue use of Contra-Pain IL 400 if you develop these symptoms and seek medical treatment immediately (see also «When should you be careful when taking Contra-Pain IL 400?»).If signs of infection (e.g. reddening, pswelling, overheating, pain, fever) occur or worsen, the doctor should be consulted immediately.
The skin becomes sensitive to light (frequency not known).
If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.
