When is Exsepta used?
According to the homeopathic drug picture, Exsepta can be used at:
- Bibles and skin blemishes
- Circulations and suppuration
- Boils, abscesses and poorly healing wounds
What should be considered?
If your doctor has prescribed other medicines for you, ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist whether Exsepta can be used at the same time.
When should Exsepta not be used or only with caution?
Exsepta should not be used with:
- Progressive systemic diseases such as tuberculosis, diseases of the white blood cells (leukaemia), collagenosis (generalized autoimmune processes with connective tissue changes such as in lupus erythematosus) and multiple sclerosis.
- Known allergy to composite plants, e.g. chamomile, arnica , Echinacea etc.
- Infants (up to 6 years)
Warning for boils: if the boil is larger than about 0.5 cm in diameter (comparable to the size of a pea) or if it is on the face, a doctor should be consulted. Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you
- suffer from other diseases,
- have allergies or
- take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally.
Can Exsepta be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as directed. Systematic scientific investigations were never carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.
How do you use Exsepta?
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor: Adults: In acute cases: 1 tablet every half hour to every hour. In chronic cases: 1-2 tablets each half an hour before the 3 main meals. Dissolve the tablets slowly on the tongue without water. Children from 6 years: 1 tablet Treatment until complete recovery. Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If the desired improvement does not occur during treatment of a child, a doctor should be consulted with him or her. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Exsepta have?
The following side effects can occur when taking Exsepta: In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions (skin rashes, facial swelling) have been observed with aster family preparations. In these cases, the preparation should be discontinued immediately and a doctor consulted. When using homeopathic medicines, the symptoms can temporarily worsen (initial aggravation). If the deterioration persists, discontinue Exsepta and tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. If you notice side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What else do you need to know?
Keep away from children and at room temperature (15-25 °C). The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container. Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information.
What does Exsepta contain?
1 tablet of 250 mg contains: Acidum silicicum (Silicea) D12, Arnica montana D6, Carbo vegetabilis D12, Echinacea D3, Graphites D6 , Myristica sebifera D6, Sulfur iodate. D6 each in equal parts and excipients.
