When is Weleda Arnica Gel used?
According to anthroposophic knowledge of man and nature, Weleda Arnica Gel can be used to treat pain from blunt injuries such as bruises, strains and contusions as well as bruises. Weleda Arnica Gel also alleviates joint problems.
The effect of the gel is based on the extract from the medicinal plant Arnica montana (daisy family) and a cooling property due to the gel base.
What should you bear in mind?
If your doctor has prescribed other medicines for you, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether Weleda Arnica Gel can be used at the same time .
After using the gel, it is advisable to wash your hands thoroughly.
When should Weleda Arnica Gel not be used or only with caution?
Weleda Arnica Gel should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to asteraceae (e.g. Arnica, Calendula) or any other ingredient.
Arnica can very easily cause hypersensitivity and irritation of the skin.
Weleda Arnica -Gel must therefore not be applied to injured or irritated skin, to mucous membranes or to particularly sensitive areas of the skin (e.g. armpits, pubic area) and around the eyes.Breastfeeding women must not apply the gel to the breast area.Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you

Can Weleda Arnica Gel be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when Weleda Arnica Gel is used externally. However, systematic scientific studies have never been carried out.As a precautionary measure, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.
How do you use Weleda Arnica Gel?
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, Weleda Arnica Gel is used as follows: Adults and school children (from 6 years of age): Apply a thin layer to the affected areas one or more times a day.
Observe the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor.
If the desired improvement does not occur when treating a child, you should consult a doctor.
If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor. pharmacist or with your doctor.
What side effects can Weleda Arnica Gel have?
In rare cases, allergic skin reactions and skin irritation have occurred. In cases of hypersensitivity, Weleda Arnica Gel should be discontinued immediately.
