When is Weleda healing ointment used?
According to anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, Weleda healing ointment can be used to heal superficial tears, lacerations and abrasions and for the after-treatment of abscesses and boils.Weleda healing ointment contains three herbal active ingredients preparations and cod liver oil. It is versatile and promotes wound healing.
What should be considered?
Large, heavily soiled wounds as well as bite and puncture wounds require medical treatment (danger of tetanus). If the size of a wound remains unchanged for some time or if the wound does not heal within 10-14 days, a doctor's visit is also necessary. The same applies if the edges of the wound are very red, the wound suddenly swells, is very painful or the injury is accompanied by fever (risk of blood poisoning).
If your doctor has prescribed other medicines for you, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether Weleda healing ointment can be used at the same time.
When should Weleda healing ointment not be used or only with caution?
We leda healing ointment must not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to asteraceae (calendula), wool wax (adeps lanae), balsam of Peru or any other ingredient in the ointment.Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you
- suffer from other diseases,have allergies orother medicines (including those you bought yourself! ) or apply externally.
How do you use Weleda Healing Ointment?
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, Weleda Healing Ointment is applied to the wound area 1-4 times a day.Observe the dosage specified in the package insert or prescribed by the doctor. If the desired improvement does not occur when treating a small child / child, they should see a doctor.If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Weleda healing ointment have?
Individual components of Weleda Heil ointment can trigger allergies in sensitive people. If allergic reactions such as severe redness or itching occur, treatment with Weleda healing ointment should be discontinued.
If you notice any side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What else needs to be considered?
Weleda healing ointment must not be used for longer than 6 months after opening.
If the symptoms worsen or if there is no improvement, stop using Weleda healing ointment and inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
Keep the drug out of the reach of children.
Store at room temperature (15-25°C) and protected from moisture.
The drug may only be used up to the date marked "EXP" on the container.

What does Weleda healing ointment contain?
1 g ointment contains: ethanolic extract from: 50 mg whole fresh mercury herb and 30 mg fresh calendula herb / cod liver oil 50 mg / balsam of Peru 7 mg.
Excipients: peanut oil, lanolin, purified water, alcohol, beeswax, hydrolysed beeswax.
