What is cystinol and when is it used?
Cystinol contains a dry extract of bearberry leaves.Bearberry leaf extract is traditionally used by women to treat symptoms of mild or recurring inflammation of the lower urinary tract, such as burning when urinating and/or frequent urination. Serious illnesses should be ruled out by a doctor.
When should Cystinol not be used or only with caution?
Cystinol should not be used
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to bearberry leaf dry extract or to any other component of the preparationin kidney diseasesif you are pregnant or breastfeeding
Har Problems with getting around from children and young people under the age of 18 as well as male adults are generally considered to be complicated. Cystinol should therefore not be used in children and in these groups of people because of insufficient data on its safety.
If symptoms or symptoms such as fever, urinary retention, cramps or blood in the urine occur while using the drug, a doctor should be consulted.
When using Cystinol, a brown-green discoloration of the urine may occur.
Please only take Cystinol after consulting your doctor, if you know that you suffer from sugar intolerance.

How do you use Cystinol?
Female adults take 2 coated tablets 3 times a day.The coated tablets are to be taken with plenty of liquid, preferably water, after the meals.Cystinol should not be used by children and adolescents under the age of 18 and male adults.
Duration of use
Cystinol should not be used for longer than 1 week.If symptoms persist for more than 4 days or worsen during use of the drug or if fever or urinary retention occurs, a doctor should be consulted.
If You have taken more Cystinol than you should
You should not take more Cystinol per day than indicated in the dosage instructions or prescribed by your doctor. If you accidentally take twice the amount of coated tablets than intended, this usually has no adverse consequences.However, taking significantly larger amounts can cause serious problems such as gastrointestinal problems with nausea and vomiting. In this case, you should stop Cystinol for a short time and consult a doctor.
If you forget to take Cystinol
Do not take a double dose, but continue taking Cystinol next time as described in the dosage instructions or as prescribed.Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
