Description - Padma Lax Tabl 20 pcs

What is Padma Lax and when is it used?

Padma Lax is a herbal laxative produced according to the principles of Tibetan medicine (for ingredients see «What does Padma Lax contain?»). Padma Lax acts as a mild (1 tablet daily) to stronger (2 tablets daily) laxative. In addition, the digestive functions are stimulated and flatulence is reduced. It is used to treat occasional constipation (e.g. when changing diet, changing location, bed rest).

What should you pay attention to?

In the case of constipation, you should, if possible, eat high-fiber food (vegetables, fruit, wholemeal bread) and drink plenty of fluids regularly and pay attention to physical activity (sport). In the case of chronic constipation, a doctor should be consulted who may carry out a causal treatment. Padma Lax is also suitable for diabetics: 1 tablet contains 0.09 g of usable carbohydrates. The preparation contains no lactose and is gluten-free.

When should Padma Lax not be taken?

Padma Lax must not be used in the case of intestinal obstruction, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (e.g. Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, appendicitis) and if there is a known hypersensitivity to one of the active ingredients or one of the excipients (see "What does Padma Lax contain?"). Padma Lax should only be given to children under the age of 12 if prescribed by a doctor. There are no studies available on the use of Padma Lax in children under 6 years of age. Use in children under the age of 6 is therefore not recommended.

When should caution be taken when taking Padma Lax?

Laxatives should not be taken for longer than 1 to 2 weeks without a doctor's prescription, otherwise you may get used to it. If Padma Lax is taken longer or in higher doses than indicated, diarrhea with loss of water and disturbances in the mineral balance (e.g. loss of potassium) can occur and the intestinal mucosa can be damaged. Long-term treatments must be under medical supervision.Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist
