What is Lyman 40'000 Mono Spray and when is it used?

Lyman 40'000 Mono Spray contains heparin and is a medicine for external use. The heparin contained in the preparation has anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory effects. Its active ingredient promotes the breakdown of superficial bruises, which reduces tissue tension and the associated pain. Lyman 40'000 Mono Spray is applied: ?For symptoms associated with varicose veins such as pain, heaviness and swelling of the legs (stasis edema). ?For blunt sports injuries and accidental injuries such as bruises, contusions, swelling, strains and bruises. ?For muscle and tendon pain. ?For loosening hard scars, scar care and cosmetic improvement of scars. With a doctor's prescription, Lyman 40'000 Mono Spray can also be used for superficial inflammatory and thrombotic processes.

What should be considered?

When must Lyman 40'000 Mono Spray not be used?

Lyman 40'000 Mono Spray must not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or one of the excipients. Lyman 40,000 Mono Spray should not be used if there is an increased tendency to bleed and if there is known heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT, heparin-induced lack of blood platelets).

When should you be careful when using Lyman 40'000 Mono Spray?

Avoid contact with the eyes. Use only on intact skin, not on mucous membranes and not on open wounds. In the case of vein diseases that can be traced back to the presence of a blood clot (a so-called thrombosis), massage must not be carried out. If the symptoms persist or worsen, a doctor should be consulted. Due to the heparin contained in Lyman 40'000 Mono Spray, an interaction with medicines that inhibit blood clotting (these include medicines for blood thinning as well as many painkillers and rheumatism medicines) cannot be completely ruled out.
