Description - Betadine disinfecting gargle concentrate liq Fl 120 ml
What is Betadine Disinfectant Gargle Concentrate and when is it used?
Betadine disinfecting gargle concentrate is intended for gargling and rinsing the mouth and throat. It kills bacteria, fungi, viruses and other infectious agents.Betadine disinfecting gargle concentrate is used to prevent and treat infections after injuries, infectious diseases of the mouth/throat area and gums, and before and after surgical and dental procedures.
When should Betadine Disinfectant Gargle Concentrate not be used?
Betadine disinfecting gargle concentrate must not be used:
- if you are hypersensitive to povidone-iodine, iodine or any other ingredient, for dysfunction and diseases of the thyroid gland,in dermatitis herpetiformis Duhring (very rare, herpes-like skin disease),before, during and until the end of an examination or treatment of the thyroid with labeled iodine (radio-iodine application), as this is impaired by Betadine disinfecting gargle concentrate, with the simultaneous use of preparations containing mercury, since a substance is formed that can damage the skin,by children under 6 years of age as they lack the ability to gargle and there is a risk of choking.
When is caution required when using Betadine Disinfectant Gargle Concentrate?
If you suffer from thyroid disease or if you have a goiter, you should only use Betadine Disinfectant Gargle Concentrate if your doctor has specifically told you to. Even after the end of therapy, early symptoms of possible hyperthyroidism should be observed for up to 3 months.
