Swissmedic-approved patient information
Combudoron® Spray
Anthroposophic medicinal product
AMZV
When is Combudoron Spray used?
According to anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, Combudoron Spray can be used on small areas minor burns (1st degree), sunburn and insect bites. Combudoron Spray, whose active ingredients are extracts from stinging nettle (Urtica urens) and arnica, relieves pain, has an anti-inflammatory effect, stimulates blood circulation and promotes wound healing. In the case of small burns, Combudoron Spray reduces the secretion of wound secretions and counteracts the formation of blisters and scars. It is particularly suitable for immediate treatment.
What should be considered?
Large burns must be treated immediately by a doctor. If your doctor has prescribed other medicines for you, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether Combudoron Spray can be used at the same time.
When should Combudoron Spray not be used or only with caution?
Combudoron Spray should not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to asteraceae (e.g. Arnica, Calendula). If the general condition deteriorates (e.g. fever), a doctor must be consulted immediately. Likewise if a local deterioration occurs or there is no improvement. Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you
- suffer from other diseases,
- have allergies or
- take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally.
How do you use Combudoron Spray?
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, Combudoron Spray can be applied undiluted to the affected areas of the skin several times a day. Avoid eye contact. For minor burns: Spray the burns as soon as possible. Then wet a sterile gauze with Combudoron Spray and place it on the affected skin area. Spray the gauze bandage regularly to keep it moist. For sunburn: At the first sign, spray the affected areas briefly. Spray repeatedly at half-hourly intervals until the signs of inflammation have subsided. For insect bites: Spray the affected area immediately after the bite. Repeat spraying every hour until pain and swelling subside. Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If the desired improvement does not occur during the treatment of a small child/child, a doctor should be consulted with him or her. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Combudoron Spray have?
In rare cases, allergic skin reactions can occur. Then Combudoron Spray should no longer be used. Because the spray contains alcohol, there may be an initial stinging sensation when used on open wounds. If you notice side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What else needs to be considered?
Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Store at room temperature (15-25°C) and away from moisture. The medicinal product may only be used up to the
