What is Carmol massage fluid and when is it used?
Carmol massage fluid is a massage and liniment for relaxing muscles and joints with essential oils from 11 medicinal plants and other herbal and synthetic active ingredients. These complement each other in their properties. The absorption of certain active ingredients through the skin promotes blood circulation in the tissue and helps to relieve muscle cramps. Carmol massage fluid cools before a healing-promoting heat effect occurs. Carmol massage fluid is well tolerated by the skin and leaves no residue.Carmol massage fluid can be used externally for painful, blunt injuries such as bruises,joint pain,sprains, strains, bruisesas well as pain and inflammation of the joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons such asmuscle hangover,neck pain,back pain.Carmol massage fluid is suitable as a (sports) massage agent to promote muscle blood circulation.
What should be considered?
Carmol massage fluid must not be taken, i.e. not used internally!
When must Carmol massage fluid not be used?
Carmol massage fluid must not be used on infants and small children
Do not use if you are known to be sensitive to one of the ingredients (according to the composition).
Do not use if you have a tendency to allergies.
In the case of renal insufficiency, do not use over a long period of time or on large areas.
Do not use if you are already taking anticoagulant therapy, as the active ingredient methyl salicylate can cause bleeding even with local application.
Do not use for compresses, fixations and bandages.
Not on open and bleeding Rub wounds.
Do not apply to mucous membranes.
When is caution required when using Carmol massage fluid?
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap after rubbing in Carmol massage fluid.
Do not cover treated parts of the body with bandages.
Avoid eye contact with Carmol massage fluid at all costs.
Do not expose yourself to the sun during treatment.
Occurs after using Carmol massage fluid irritates the skin, the skin should be rinsed with a fatty liquid, e.g. milk, and further use should be avoided.Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you- suffer from other illnesses,- have allergies or- are taking or using other medicines (including those you have bought yourself!).
May Can Carmol massage fluid be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
PregnancyBased on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child if used as intended. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. Therefore, Carmol Massage Fluid should not be used during pregnancy unless this is clearly necessary.BreastfeedingIt is not known whether the active ingredients contained in Carmol Massage Fluid are excreted in breast milk. Carmol massage fluid is contraindicated for infants. Carmol massage fluid should therefore not be used while breastfeeding.
How do you use Carmol massage fluid?
AdultsUnless otherwise prescribed, rub or massage a sufficient amount of Carmol massage fluid up to 5 times a day. Then wash your hands with soap.
The use and safety of Carmol massage fluidChildren and adolescents have not yet been tested.Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Carmol massage fluid have?
The following side effects can occur when using Carmol massage fluid:occasional skin irritation (redness, itching). In this case, interrupt the treatment and rinse the affected area with a fatty liquid, e.g. milk, and consult a doctor if necessary!
If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

The medicine may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the package.Store at room temperature (15-25 °C) and out of the reach of children.Keep the container tightly closed.Highly flammable. Keep away from open flames!

What does Carmol massage fluid contain?
100 g of fluid contain: methyl salicylate 0.90 g, levomenthol 1.20 g, racemic camphor 0.56 g, essential oils: anise oil 0.05 g, clove oil 0.04 g, lavender oil 0.23 g, nutmeg oil 0.07 g, citronella oil 0.09 g, sage oil 0.08 g, thyme oil 0.11 g, eucalyptus oil 0.56 g, turpentine oil 0.45 g, pine needle oil 1.01 g, rosemary oil 0.23 g.
This preparation contains the excipients isopropanol, water, hydroxypropyl guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride.
