When is Ceres Melissa comp. should not be taken or taken with caution?

Preparations with St. John's wort (Ceres Melissa comp. contains the ingredient Hypericum Ø) should be used if the skin is known to be sensitive to light not be taken. Interactions: Preparations with St. John's wort (ingredient Hypericum Ø) can have an unfavorable effect on the effects of numerous other drugs, especially prescription drugs. The preparation should therefore only be taken after consulting your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines, especially those that require a prescription. Ceres Melissa comp. should not be taken by children under 12 years of age. Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you ?suffer from other diseases, ?have allergies or ?Take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally!

How do you use Ceres Melissa comp.?

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, adults and children over the age of 12 take 1-3 3 times a day drop in. Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. The drops are best taken in a little water and rubbed in well. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Ceres Melissa comp. have?

No side effects have been observed for Ceres Melissa comp. when used as directed. However, when taking St. John's wort preparations (Ceres Melissa comp. contains the ingredient Hypericum Ø) sensitivity to light (photosensitization) can occur in rare cases. If you notice any side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. When taking homeopathic medicines, the symptoms can temporarily worsen (initial aggravation). If the deterioration persists, discontinue Ceres Melissa comp. and tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What else needs to be considered?

The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked ?Use by? on the container. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Store at room temperature (15-25°C). Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information. Ceres Melissa comp. contains 65% alcohol by volume.
