Warnings and Precautions

Interactions

Pregnancy / lactation
Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child if used as intended. Systematic scientific research was never carried out. This drug can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Effects on ability to drive and use machines
The effects on the ability to drive and use machines have not been studied. However, they are unlikely.
Unwanted effects
The activated charcoal is not absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract and does not get into the circulation, so it is a mechanical effect. The only side effects observed are gastrointestinal discomfort. Since biochar is excreted exactly as it was supplied, it can turn the stool black.
Overdose
After taking very high doses, such as those used for poisoning, constipation or intestinal obstruction (mechanical obstruction) can occur in individual cases.
