What is Allergodil seasonal nasal spray and when is it used?
Allergodil seasonal nasal spray is an antiallergic drug for the local treatment of seasonal allergic nasal discomfort (e.g. hay fever). Due to the local application in the nose, the effect occurs quickly (within 15 minutes). In addition, almost none of the usual side effects such as tiredness, impairment of driving behavior, etc. occur.
When should Allergodil seasonal nasal spray not be used?
Allergodil seasonal nasal spray should not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient azelastine. In children under 12 years of age.
When is caution required when using Allergodil seasonal nasal spray?
Allergodil seasonal nasal spray is generally well tolerated. There are no data on interactions with other drugs. When using Allergodil seasonal nasal spray, symptoms such as exhaustion, lassitude, exhaustion, dizziness or weakness, which can also be caused by the course of the disease, are possible in individual cases. How do you use Allergodil seasonal nasal spray?
In the case of seasonal allergic nasal discomfort, adults and children over the age of 12 are sprayed 2 times a day into each nostril unless otherwise prescribed. The application should be carried out with the head held upright. The treatment period for hay fever is usually 2 weeks. If the symptoms persist, please consult your doctor. What are the side effects of Allergodil seasonal nasal spray?Common (affects 1 to 10 users in 100)
Bitter Taste, which is based on the inherent taste of the active ingredient azelastine. This taste is most likely due to the spray being drawn up the nose and then being discharged into the mouth and throat, and on rare occasions may cause nausea. Special attention should therefore be paid to using it correctly (see ?How do you use Allergodil seasonal nasal spray??).
Uncommon (affects 1 to 10 users in 1000)
Mild, temporary irritation of the already inflamed nasal mucosa, which manifests itself as burning, itching, sneezing or nosebleeds.
Rare (affects 1 to 10 users in 10,000)
Nausea.
Very rare (affects less than 1 in 10,000 users)
Hypersensitivity (skin rash, itching, hives), dizziness, as well as exhaustion (weariness, exhaustion) and a feeling of weakness. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.
