Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel is a non-greasy, cooling gel that penetrates quickly into the skin, does not leave stains on clothes and is suitable for the following applications due to the interaction of an extract of ruscus and heparin: ?Discomfort associated with varicose veins, such as pain, heaviness, swollen legs (stasis edema) and calf cramps?Blunt sports injuries and accidental injuries, such as bruises, bruises, contusions, strains, swelling, pain in the muscles and tendons?Loosening of hard scars, scar care, cosmetic improvement of the scars.

What should be considered?

Follow the doctor's advice that goes beyond the actual recommendations for use, e.g. gymnastics or wearing support stockings. Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel can support these measures, but cannot replace them. If you suffer from venous disease, you should ensure sufficient exercise (swimming, hiking), elevate your legs at night, avoid standing for long periods or at least tie your legs.

When must Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel not be used?

Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel must not be used on open (bleeding) wounds and on mucous membranes, or if there is a tendency to bleed and there is a lack of platelets (so-called thrombocytopenia). Also not in case of known hypersensitivity to one of the active ingredients!

How do you use Alpinamed Ruscovarin Vein Gel?

Adults: Rub a thin layer of Alpinamed Ruscovarin Vein Gel into the skin of the affected leg areas three times a day. The application should always be done from bottom to top. The use and safety of Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel in children and adolescents has not yet been tested. Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. The following side effects can occur in rare cases when using Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel: Irritation and slight reddening of the skin. These disappear after discontinuation of the preparation. 1 g Alpinamed Ruscovarin vein gel contains: 0.39 g fluid extract from fresh butcher's broom (Ruscus aculeatus) roots (fresh plant: fluid extract: 1:1.5-2.5) corresponding to a minimum content of 0.5 mg ruscogenin. Extraction agent: ethanol 86% (m/m), and 250 iU heparin. This preparation also contains aromatics, propylene glycol and other excipients.
