What is Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel and when is it used?

Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel is a non-greasy, cooling gel that penetrates quickly into the skin, does not leave stains on clothes and, thanks to the interaction of an extract of butcher's broom and heparin, is suitable for the following applications:

?Discomforts associated with varicose veins, such as pain, heaviness, swollen legs (stasis edema) and calf cramps

?Dull Sports injuries and accidents, such as bruises, contusions, strains, swelling, muscle and tendon pain?Loosening of hard scars, scar care, cosmetic improvement of the scars.

What should be considered?

Follow the doctor's advice that goes beyond the actual recommendations for use, e.g. gymnastics or wearing support stockings. Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel can support these measures, but cannot replace them. If you suffer from vein disease, you should ensure sufficient exercise (swimming, hiking), elevate your legs at night, avoid standing for long periods or at least tie your legs.

When must Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel not be used?

Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel must not be used on open (bleeding) wounds and mucous membranes, or if there is a tendency to bleed and there is a blood platelet deficiency (so-called thrombocytopenia). . Also not if you are known to be hypersensitive to one of the active ingredients!

Adults: Rub a thin layer of Alpinamed Ruscovarin Venen Gel three times a day into the skin of the affected parts of the leg. It should always be applied from the bottom up.

1 g Alpinamed Ruscovarin vein gel contains:

0.39 g fluid extract from fresh butcher's broom roots (Ruscus aculeatus) (fresh plant: fluid extract: 1:1.5-2.5) corresponding to a minimum content of 0.5 mg ruscogenin. Extraction agent: ethanol 86% (m/m), and 250 iU heparin. This preparation also contains aromatics, propylene glycol and other auxiliary substances.
