What should be considered?

If your doctor has prescribed other medicines for you, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether Similasan Sunburn and small burns may be taken at the same time. ? Large burns must be treated immediately by a doctor. ?  If local deterioration occurs or if healing does not occur within 2-3 weeks, a doctor should be consulted. ?  If the general condition deteriorates (e.g. fever), a doctor must be consulted immediately.

When should Similasan not be used on sunburn and small burns, or only with caution?

Must not be used on: ?  For infants under 2 years old ?  Known allergy to daisy plants (e.g. calendula, echinacea) or any of the Ingredients?  Infants and toddlers?  Extensive burns?  Blistering?  Open wounds, on mucous membranes and near the eyesThis medicinal product contains 25.34 mg of alcohol (ethanol) per dosage unit (actuation) with a dosage volume of 0.127 ml, equivalent to 200 mg/ml (20% w/v). It may cause a burning sensation on damaged skin. Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you ?suffer from other diseases, ? Can Similasan be used for sunburn and small-area burns during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child if used as directed. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Similasan for sunburn and minor burns?

Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor: Apply as soon as possible and undiluted. Avoid eye contact. Do not spray in eyes or on mucous membranes. ?  Sunburn: Children from 2 years one spray several times a day. A maximum of 6 x 1 spray per day on the same spot Adolescents and adults, 2 sprays several times a day. A maximum of 6 x 2 sprays per day on the same spot. ?  Small burns: Children from 2 years, adolescents and adults, place sterile gauze or a clean cloth on the affected area. Fix. Moisten with the liquid several times a day. Similasan sunburn and small burns must not be used on small children under the age of 2 years. Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If the desired improvement does not occur during treatment of a child, a doctor should be consulted with him or her. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Similasan sunburn and small burns have?

In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions (skin rashes, facial swelling) can occur. In these cases, the preparation should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet. When taking homeopathic medicines, the symptoms can temporarily worsen (initial aggravation).
