What is FORTALIS and when is it used?
FORTALIS is a analgesic and anti-inflammatory balm. It is used for rubbing and massaging in the treatment of muscle and joint pain and after injuries. FORTALIS can also be used as a massage balm to relax tired and tense muscles.
When should FORTALIS not be used?
FORTALIS must not be used in children under 12 years of age. Do not use if allergic to any of the components. Do not use if allergic to peanut or soy.
When is caution required when using FORTALIS?
For children over the age of 12, use only briefly and not over large areas. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds. In the event of a kidney function disorder, do not carry out long-term, large-scale treatments. FORTALIS contains peanut oil. It must not be used if you are allergic to peanut or soy. FORTALIS contains lanolin. Lanolin may cause limited skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis). Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you
- suffer from other illnesses,have allergies ortake other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally!
Can FORTALIS be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Fortalis must not be used in women of childbearing age who are not using contraception, or during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, without medical advice instruction are used.
How do you use FORTALIS?Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age
Muscle and joint pain and injuries: one Apply an amount adapted to the area to be treated 2-3 times a day for 5-7 days. If skin irritation occurs, stop use altogether. Tired, tense and sore muscles: do a prolonged massage. Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can FORTALIS have?Rare (affects 1 to 10 users in 10,000)
Redness and mild skin irritation.
Individual cases
Burns at the site of administration. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container. Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information.
Storage instructions
Store at room temperature (15-25°C). Do not freeze. Store in the original packaging. Keep the container in the outer carton in order to protect from light (and/or moisture). Keep out of the reach of children.
What does FORTALIS contain?Active substances
100 mg balm contains 10 mg methyl salicylate, 2 mg salicylic acid, 0.3 mg formic acid 98%, 0.4 mg racemic camphor and 1 mg spica oil.
Excipients
Wool fat (lanolin), liquid paraffin, solid paraffin, yellow vaseline, peanut oil, beta-carotene (E160a).
