What is Fung-X Derma and when is it used?

Fung-X Derma is a medicine used to treat fungal infections of the skin caused by filamentous fungi, such as athlete's foot, superficial skin fungi, pityriasis versicolor. The cream is also effective against fungal infections caused by yeasts (skin candidiasis).Treatment with Fung-X Derma relieves general symptoms such as itching, scaling and redness. Most patients with athlete's foot showed no recurrence 2 months after a week's treatment with Fung-X Derma.

What should be considered?

To prevent fungal infections, you should follow a few rules:

• Change clothing that comes into contact with the diseased skin daily.Avoid tight-fitting clothing that is not very breathable.Dry the skin carefully after washing.Change towels every day.If you have athlete's foot, do not go barefoot, sprinkle stockings and shoes with a powder that is effective against fungal infections or spray them with a spray every day.Wash hands well after use and after contact with the affected skin areas. When should Fung-X Derma not be used?

Fung-X Derma should not be used in the event of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient terbinafine or one of the excipients it contains.Fung-X Derma has not been tested for use in children under the age of 12.The use of Fung-X Derma in children under the age of 12 is not being used clinically based on experience.

When should you be careful when using Fung-X Derma?

Common treatment schemes

Pityriasis versicolor: 1-2 times a day for 2 weeks.

What side effects can Fung-X Derma have?

The following side effects can occur when using Fung-X Derma:Common side effects are skin flaking and itching. Occasionally skin irritation, pigmentation disorders, redness, burning sensation on the skin, pain or irritation at the application site can occur. Dry skin and eczema are rare.If Fung-X Derma accidentally comes into contact with the eyes, eye irritation may occur (see «When should you be careful when using Fung-X Derma?»).Stop using Fung-X Derma and tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms, which may be signs of an allergic reaction:

• Breathing or swallowing problems ,Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat,severe itching of the skin with a red rash or blisters.
