Description - Lamisil Pedisan Spray 1% 30ml

What is Lamisil Pedisan and when is it used?

Lamisil Pedisan cream and spray are medicines used to treat athlete's foot. They work by killing the fungus that causes the condition. Symptoms such as itching, scaling and redness subside under treatment with Lamisil Pedisan. Most patients with athlete's foot showed no recurrence 2 months after a one-week treatment with Lamisil Pedisan.

What should be considered?

To prevent athlete's foot, you should follow a few rules:

  • Change stockings daily.Avoid tight shoes.Dry the skin carefully after washing.Change towels daily. Do not go barefoot, sprinkle the inside of stockings and shoes with a powder that is effective against fungal infections or spray them with a spray every day.Wash hands well after use and after contact with the affected skin areas. This can prevent the fungal infection from spreading further.

When must Lamisil Pedisan not be used?

Lamisil Pedisan must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient terbinafine or to one of the excipients contained in the cream or spray (see «What does Lamisil Pedisan contain?»).Lamisil Pedisan has not been tested for use in children under the age of 12. The use of Lamisil Pedisan in children under the age of 12 is not recommended due to a lack of clinical experience.

When is caution required when using Lamisil Pedisan?

Lamisil Pedisan cream or spray is intended for external use only; they must not get in your eyes. Accidental eye contact may cause eye irritation. If the preparation comes into contact with the eyes, the eyes must be rinsed out immediately with running water. Consult your doctor if the symptoms do not go away.

Infants and small children must not come into contact with the treated skin areas.

Do not inhale Lamisil Pedisan Spray.

Lamisil Pedisan Spray should be used carefully on broken skin, as the alcohol or propylene glycol it contains can cause irritation.

Lamisil Pedisan Cream contains cetyl and stearyl alcohol, which can be used locally can cause limited skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).Consult a doctor in the event of extensive fungal infestation or joint infestation of the nails.Do not apply any other medicines to the treated skin areas.Inform your doctor, pharmacist or pharmacist if you

Can Lamisil Pedisan be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?Pregnancy

Breastfeeding

Lamisil Pedisan should not be used while breastfeeding. Small children and infants must not come into contact with the treated skin areas.

How do you use Lamisil Pedisan?

Before using Lamisil Pedisan, the affected skin areas must be thoroughly cleaned and dried with a cotton swab and warm water.

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and overLamisil Pedisan Creme

Lamisil Pedisan Creme 1-Apply once a day - in the morning or in the evening: Lamisil Pedisan Cream must be applied thinly to the diseased and adjacent areas of skin and rubbed in gently. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly after use.

Lamisil Pedisan Spray

When using Lamisil Pedisan Spray, the diseased and adjacent areas of skin should be sufficiently moistened with Lamisil Pedisan once a day - in the morning or in the evening.

Usual duration of treatment:

Cream: once a day for 1 week.

Spray: once daily for 1 week.To avoid recurrence, stick to the stated duration of use. If symptoms worsen or if there are no signs of improvement after 1 week, consult a doctor.

Children under 12 years of age

The use and safety of Lamisil Pedisan in children under 12 years of age have not been tested.Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist

What side effects can Lamisil Pedisan have?

The following side effects can occur when using Lamisil Pedisan:Common side effects are skin flaking and itching. Occasionally, skin damage, scabs, skin discoloration, redness, burning sensation on the skin, pain or irritation at the application site may occur. Dry skin, contact dermatitis or eczema are rare. Rashes or blisters (papules) are very rare.If Lamisil Pedisan accidentally comes into contact with the eyes, eye irritation may occur (see «When do you need to be careful when using Lamisil Pedisan?»).Stop using Lamisil Pedisan and tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms, which may be signs of an allergic reaction:

  • Breathing or swallowing problemsSwelling of the face, lips, tongue or throatIntense itching of the skin with a red rash or blisters (including beyond the application site).

If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

What else needs to be taken into account?

The medicine may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container.

Use by after opening

Once the package is opened, Lamisil Pedisan Spray has a shelf life of 3 months.
