Description - Balmed Hermal F oil bath bottle 200 ml
What is Balmed Hermal F and when is it used?
Balmed Hermal F is a medicinal oil bath. It was developed to treat and prevent particularly dry and scaly skin.
The thin paraffin and peanut oil contained in Balmed Hermal F is distributed in the bath water and forms a thin film on the skin while bathing. This serves as a temporary protective layer until the skin's lipid layer is restored. The evaporation of water from the skin is reduced, which has a positive effect on the elasticity of the horny layer and relieves itching.
Balmed Hermal F is therefore used for dry, sensitive skin.
Balmed Hermal F can, after consultation with your doctor, pharmacist or pharmacist, also be used to support the treatment of cradle cap, diaper eczema, allergic and non-allergic eczema, lower leg eczema, neuro dermatitis, psoriasis and ichthyosis (fish scale disease).
When must Balmed Hermal F not be used?
Balmed Hermal F must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity (allergy) to thin liquid paraffin, peanut oil or any other component of the preparation, as well as to peanut or soya. Balmed Hermal F must also not be used in pustular forms of psoriasis (pustular psoriasis).Like all baths, Balmed Hermal F must not be used in the case of feverish illnesses, serious infectious diseases, tuberculosis, serious heart and circulatory disorders, high blood pressure, open wounds, major skin injuries and acute skin diseases.
When is caution required when using Balmed Hermal F?3>
Balmed Hermal F undiluted must not be brought into contact with the eyes. In case of accidental contact with eyes, flush immediately with plenty of cold water. If the symptoms of irritation persist, consult a doctor.Butylated hydroxytoluene can cause localized skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis), irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes. This medicine contains a fragrance with d-limonene and linalool. These substances can cause allergic reactions. There is an increased risk of slipping due to the oil film on the skin and the oil film in tubs and showers! The bathtub, shower tray and, if applicable, the children's bathtub should be cleaned immediately after each bath with a conventional household detergent and then washed out with hot water.Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you
- suffer from other illnesses, have allergies ortake other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or externally
Can Balmed Hermal F be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
There are no concerns about using Balmed Hermal F during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
How do you use Balmed Hermal F?
The frequency of use of Balmed Hermal F depends on the type of symptoms and the extent of the skin condition and should be determined individually.Unless otherwise prescribed, 2-3 full baths are generally taken weekly. If necessary, daily use is recommended, e.g. for infants and small children.
The duration of the bath should also be determined individually, but should not exceed 15-20 minutes. For infants and small children, an application time of just a few minutes is sufficient. The bathing water temperature should not exceed 37 °C. A lower bathing water temperature (around 32 °C) is more beneficial for the skin's oiliness and should be observed, especially for children. Balmed Hermal F is added to the bath water (not the other way around) and mixed in untils an even distribution is achieved.
The inner part of the screw cap can be used as a measuring cup to measure the required amount.
For a full bath (approx. 150 l) use 30 ml (= 2 measuring cups), for a children's bath (approx. 25 l) use 5 ml (= 1/3 measuring cup), for 1 partial bath (5 l) use 1 ml (= 1 squirt, so that the bottom of the measuring cup s is covered) Balmed Hermal F.In order not to influence the desired regreasing, no soap should be used. Drying off too much should also be avoided, as this rubs off part of the greasy film.
Stick to the dosage given in the package insert or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
