Description - Bepanthen Lös 5% Fl 100 ml
What is Bepanthen solution and when is it used?
Bepanthen solution contains the active ingredient dexpanthenol. This is quickly converted into pantothenic acid in the skin cells. Pantothenic acid is involved in both building and repairing skin and mucous membranes.Bepanthen solution is suitable for mouthwashes in case of inflammation of the oral cavity and for dabbing small, non-infected wounds. Only after consultation with your doctor can Bepanthen solution also be used for the accompanying treatment of respiratory diseases.
What should be considered?
Infected wounds and wounds with a risk of infection should not be treated with Bepanthen solution. Large, heavily soiled and deep wounds as well as bite and puncture wounds require medical treatment (danger of tetanus). If the size of a wound remains unchanged for some time or if the wound does not heal within 10-14 days, a doctor's visit is also necessary. The same applies if the edges of the wound are very red, the wound suddenly swells, is very painful or the injury is accompanied by fever (risk of blood poisoning).
When should Bepanthen solution not be taken/used?
If you are hypersensitive to one or more of the ingredients of Bepanthen solution, you should not use the preparation (see composition).
When should you be careful when taking/using Bepanthen solution?
Avoid Bepanthen solution coming into contact with your eyes.

The treatment takes place several times a day.Respiratory diseases (only after consultation with your doctor):To inhale with an inhaler, use undiluted Bepanthen solution. Your doctor will determine how often and for how long you should inhale.
Stick to the dosage specified in the brochure or prescribed by the doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Bepanthen solution have?
The following side effects can occur when using Bepanthen solution: allergic reactions and allergic skin reactions such as skin inflammation, skin rash, itching, redness, swelling, nettle rash, Blisters, burning sensation, discomfort, eye irritation and redness, changed hair structure, acne.If you notice any side effects that are not described here, please inform your doctor or pharmacist or yourPhysician or pharmacist.
