Climavita is a medicine with an extract from the medicinal plant Cimicifuga racemosa (black cohosh). Climavita is used for symptoms associated with menopause (hot flashes, sweating, sleep disorders, nervousness and mood disorders). These can be alleviated by Climavita.

What should you pay attention to?

If you feel tight and swollen in the breasts and if you have unforeseen bleeding between periods, spotting or in the case of recurrent menstrual bleeding, you should consult your doctor.This medicine contains 177.6 mg of usable carbohydrates per single dose.

When can Climavita not used or used with caution?

Climavita must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients or to Ranunculaceae (buttercup family). We do not recommend taking Climavita if you have liver damage.

This preparation influences the physical and psychological symptoms of menopause (climacteric). As there are no clinical data available so far that show a beneficial effect on the bones, this preparation cannot be used to prevent osteoporosis.

How do you use Climavita?

Unless otherwise prescribed, take 1 film-coated tablet whole with some liquid once a day. It should always be taken at the same time of day (preferably in the evening).

Climavita can be used over a longer period of time, at least over a period of 6 weeks. Use for more than 6 months should only take place after consultation with your doctor.

Stick to the dosage specified in the package insert or prescribed by the doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Climavita have?

The following side effects can occur when taking Climavita: In rare cases, slight stomach problems, nausea. In very rare cases there is evidence of liver damage. In the event of an unusual drop in performance, yellowing of the conjunctiva of the eyes or skin, dark urine or discolored stools, Climavita should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

If you notice any side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What else needs to be considered?

The medicine at room temperature ( 15-25 °C) and keep out of the reach of children. What does Climavita contain?

1 film-coated tablet contains 6.5 mg dry extract from the Cimicifuga rootstock (black cohosh). Drug-extract ratio 4.5-8.5:1, extractant ethanol 60% v/v. This preparation also contains auxiliary substances.
