What is Schmids Rheumatism Cream and when is it used?
Schmids Rheumatism Cream contains arnica tincture, essential oils (rosemary oil, eucalyptus oil, wintergreen oil, medicinal turpentine oil) and natural camphor as active ingredients.Schmids Rheumatism Cream can be used for pain and inflammation in the joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons, e.g. Muscle tension, sore muscles, stiff neck, back pain, lumbago, tendonitis. Also for painful blunt injuries such as sprains, contusions, bruises, strains, bruises, swelling. As far as the doctor permits, also as a supportive measure for rheumatism, arthritis, arthrosis and gout.
When must Schmid's Rheumatism Cream not be used?
Schmids Rheumatism Cream must not be used on children and adolescents under the age of 18, on open wounds, on damaged skin (sunburn, eczema, etc.) and with a known allergy (hypersensitivity) to Ar nika, medicinal turpentine or another ingredient (see composition).
When is caution required when using Schmids Rheumatism Cream?
Caution is required if you have a known allergy to other plants (such as chamomile, yarrow, calendula).
Only use externally. If the cream is accidentally ingested, see a doctor or consult a doctor.
Do not get Schmid's Rheumatism Cream in the eyes or on mucous membranes. Wash hands well after each use.
Patients with renal insufficiency should not use the preparation for a longer period of time (longer than 2-3 weeks)!
Misuse
Swallowing the cream can lead to acute gastrointestinal symptoms such as irritation of the mucous membranes, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
In the case of oral intake of larger amounts of camphor-containing products, side effects involving the Z NS, such as depression of the central nervous system, tonic-clonic seizures or headaches, dizziness, confusion, restlessness, anxiety, hallucinations.The large-scale cutaneous application or the prolonged use of higher doses of camphor-containing products can in rare cases lead to side effects that correspond to oral intake.Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist or your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you

Can Schmid's Rheumatism Cream be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Schmid's Rheumatism Cream must not be used, unless for a short time, not over a large area and only on Medical prescription.
How do you use Schmids Rheumatism Cream?
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor:Adults: Gently massage a 5-10 cm long strip of ointment onto the area to be treated 1-2 times a day.The use and safety of Schmids Rheumatism Cream in children and adolescents has not yet been tested.Hold Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Schmids Rheuma-Crème have?
The following side effects can occur when using Schmids Rheuma-Crème:
Occasionally (affects 1 to10 out of 1000 users)
Allergic reactions (e.g. in the form of severe reddening of the skin with itching)
If such symptoms occur, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.
What else needs to be taken into account?
The medicine may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container.Keep at room temperature (15-25°C) and out of the reach of children.Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information.
1 gram of cream contains:
100 mg arnica tincture, drug extractant 1:9, extractant alcohol 70%, 40 mg natural camphor, 40 mg rosemary oil, 40 mg eucalyptus oil, 40 mg wintergreen oil, 40 mg medicinal turpentine oil.
This preparation contains additional additives such as propylene glycol and the preservatives propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E 216), methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E 218) and imidazolidinyl urea.
