Description - The med Moisturizing Skin Cleanser Extra Mild pH 5.5 Dispenser 500 ml
Der-med is a moisturizing skin wash lotion tailored to the properties of the skin for gentle washing or showering of sensitive, dry or diseased skin. The active ingredient disodium undecylenamido MEA-sulfosuccinate contained in Der-med has a disinfecting effect and has a slightly growth-inhibiting effect on various bacteria and skin fungi. Der-med has the slightly acidic, buffered acidity of healthy skin (pH 5.5) and thus stabilizes the physiological (natural) protective acid mantle. Der-med thus protects sensitive skin from diseases and dehydration and also supports the healing process in diseased skin. The moisturizing substances in Der-med prevent the skin from being degreased by the washing process. The-med is used:
- for therapy-supporting treatment for:
- psoriasis;
- ichthyosis (fish scale disease);
- eczema;

What is Der-med and when is it used?

When should Der-med not be used?
Der-med should not be used if there is an existing hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients.
When is caution required when using Der-med?
If used as intended, no special precautions need to be taken. Inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines (including those you bought yourself) or using them externally!
Can Der-med be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Systematic scientific studies have never been carried out. Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child to be born when used as intended. Der-med can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
How do you use Der-med?
Der-med is used like liquid soap. Wet the skin well with lukewarm water, then apply a few splashes of Der-med directly to the affected areas of the skin and wash gently. Then rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a clean cloth without rubbing. If you have a tendency to skin fungus, Der-med is suitable for preventive treatment by washing the endangered skin areas with Der-med. Der-med also supports the healing process in skin fungal diseases if the skin is thoroughly cleaned with Der-med before each application of the local antifungal agent. To prevent recurrence, the affected skin areas should continue to be washed with Der-med for 5-6 weeks after the fungal disease has healed. It is advisable to leave Der-med on for a few minutes and only then rinse off with lukewarm water. Then always pat dry with a clean cloth without rubbing. Der-med may also be used on infants, small children and children. Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can Der-med have?
The following side effects can occur when using Der-med: in rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions such as reddening or burning of the skin. If you notice side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

Wirkstoff: Disodium undecylenamido MEA-sulfosuccinate.
Hilfsstoffe: Detergentia, aromatica, color.: Patentblau (E 131), methylrosanilinii chloridum, excipiens ad emulsionem.
Galenische Form und Wirkstoffmenge pro Einheit
1 g Hautwaschlotion enthält 30 mg Disodium undecylenamido MEA-sulfosuccinate.
Indikationen/Anwendungsmöglichkeiten
Der-med hat leicht desinfizierende Eigenschaften und eine rückfettende Komponente. Der-med kann zur therapieunterstützenden Behandlung verwendet werden bei:
Psoriasis, Ichthyosis, Ekzem, Hautpilzerkrankungen (Hand- und Fusspilze), Akne;
zur Säuglingspflege (speziell Windelekzeme), zur schonenden Pflege des Intimbereichs, zur schutzaufbauenden Reinigung der Altershaut sowie zum täglichen Waschen, Duschen oder Baden empfindlicher oder kranker Haut.
Dosierung/Anwendung
Der-med wird wie flüssige Seife angewendet: Die Haut mit lauwarmem Wasser gut anfeuchten, dann ein paar Spritzer Der-med direkt auf die betreffenden Hautpartien bringen und sanft waschen. Anschliessend mit lauwarmem Wasser abspülen und mit einem sauberen Tuch ohne Reiben trockentupfen.
Bei Hautpilzerkrankungen kann Der-med zur vorbeugenden Behandlung verwendet werden, indem die gefährdeten Hautpartien mit Der-med gewaschen werden.
Der-med unterstützt im Weiteren den Heilungsverlauf bei Hautpilzerkrankungen, wenn die Haut vor jedem Auftragen des lokalen Antimykotikums mit Der-med gründlich gereinigt wird. Darüber hinaus werden Rezidive verhindert, wenn die befallenen Hautbezirke während der «turn over time» der Epidermis, d.h. 5–6 Wochen über die klinische Erscheinungsfreiheit hinaus, weiterhin mit Der-med gewaschen werden. Hier empfiehlt es sich, Der-med einige Minuten einwirken zu lassen und erst dann mit lauwarmem Wasser abzuspülen und mit einem sauberen Tuch ohne Reiben trockenzutupfen.
Der-med darf auch bei Säuglingen, Kleinkindern und Kindern angewendet werden.
Kontraindikationen
Der-med nicht anwenden bei Überempfindlichkeit auf einen der Inhaltsstoffe.

Schwangerschaft/Stillzeit
Es sind weder kontrollierte Studien bei Tieren noch bei schwangeren Frauen verfügbar. Da Der-med bei bestimmungsgemässer Anwendung wieder abgespült wird, kann ein Risiko für den Foetus praktisch ausgeschlossen werden. Der-med darf deshalb während der Schwangerschaft und in der Stillzeit angewendet werden.

Wirkmechanismus
Der-med ist eine auf die Eigenschaften der Haut ausgerichtete, milde Hautwaschlotion mit rückfettender Wirkung zum schonenden Waschen oder Duschen empfindlicher, trockener oder kranker Haut. Der in Der-med enthaltene Stoff Disodium undecyle-namido MEA-sulfosuccinate hat eine leicht wachstumshemmende Wirkung gegenüber verschiedenen Bakterien und Hautpilzen.
Der-med besitzt den schwach sauren, gepufferten Säuregrad gesunder Haut (pH 5,5) und stabilisiert so den physiologischen Säureschutzmantel. Der-med schützt empfindliche Haut vor Erkrankungen und Austrocknung und unterstützt zudem den Heilungsprozess bei kranker Haut. Rückfettende Hilfsstoffe in Der-med verhindern eine Entfettung der Haut durch den Waschvorgang.
