What are EchinaMed tablets and when are they used?
The fresh plant preparation EchinaMed tablets is made from the fresh, flowering herb and the fresh roots of purple coneflower. EchinaMed tablets are traditionally suitable for susceptibility to colds. They also promote the healing process for colds. EchinaMed tablets serve to increase the body's own defenses in the event of susceptibility to colds and feverish colds.
What should be considered?
If children are susceptible to colds, it is advisable to consult a doctor.
When should EchinaMed tablets not be taken or should only be taken with caution?
e.g. arnica, yarrow, echinacea etc.)! If children catch colds, it is advisable to consult a doctor. The preparation is not suitable for infants. For fundamental reasons, EchinaMed tablets should not be taken in the case of autoimmune diseases, leukemia or multiple sclerosis. Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines (including those you bought yourself).
Can EchinaMed tablets be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as directed. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.
How do you use EchinaMed tablets?
In case of susceptibility to colds (preventative): Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age 2 tablets 3 times a day, children from 4 years of age 1 tablet 3 times a day Let it melt in your mouth about 1/2 hour before meals or take it with some liquid. For colds and feverish colds: Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age 2 tablets 3 - 5 times a day, children from 4 years of age 3 - 5 times a day 1 tablet in the mouth or take with some liquid. It should not be taken continuously for more than 2 months. Follow the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What side effects can EchinaMed tablets have?
The following side effects can occur when taking EchinaMed tablets: in rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions (such as skin rashes and very rarely also asthma, circulatory reactions) observed. In this case, the treatment should be stopped immediately and a doctor consulted. If you notice side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
What else needs to be considered?
EchinaMed tablets should be stored at room temperature (15 - 25 °C) and out of the reach of children. EchinaMed tablets may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container. Unused or expired packs should be returned to your pharmacist for disposal. Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information.
What is in the EchinaMed tablets?
1 tablet of EchinaMed contains Spissum extract from: 380 mg tincture of fresh flowering purple coneflower herb* (average drug extractant ratio 1:12, extractant ethanol 65% (v/v)) and 20 mg tincture of fresh purple coneflower roots* (average drug-extractant ratio 1:11, extractant ethanol 65% (v/v)). This preparation also contains auxiliary substances. Contains lactose. *from certified organic farming
