What is Denosol cold bath and when is it used?

The Denosol cold bath combines well-tried essential oils and synthetic substances used in modern medicine. The substances of the Denosol cold bath that are finely distributed in the hot bath water stimulate the blood circulation of the skin in a beneficial way. At the same time, inhaling the healing essential oils brings relief. Denosol cold bath can be used for colds with a runny nose or catarrh.

When should Denosol cold bath not be used?

Denosol cold bath should not be used: -for skin diseases; -if you have a high fever; -in heart and circulatory weakness; -for high blood pressure. Do not use for babies and small children! Use in children with reluctance. Do not use if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients (see composition). Do not use in bronchial asthma.

When is caution required when using Denosol cold bath?

If used as intended, no special precautions need to be taken. Denosol cold bath contains soybean oil. It must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to peanut or soy. Denosol cold bath contains butylated hydroxyanisole (E 320). It can cause local skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis), irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes. Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you ?suffer from other diseases, ? Have allergies or ?Take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally!

Can Denosol cold bath be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child if used as directed. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Denosol Cold Bath?

Adults: Add 20-40 ml Denosol Cold Bath to the hot bath water and stir well. The mark for a bath on the label corresponds to 20 ml. Bath water temperature 36-38 °C. Bathe for ten to fifteen minutes. Dry off, keep warm and go to bed. If necessary, repeat the treatment the following day. The use and safety of Denosol cold bath in children and adolescents has not yet been tested. Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Denosol cold bath have?

The following side effects can occur when using Denosol cold bath: Allergic skin reactions (itching and intense redness). In this case, the treatment should be discontinued and, if necessary, a doctor should be consulted. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

What else needs to be considered?

The medicinal product may only be used up to the date marked «EXP» on the container. Storage Instructions Store at room temperature (15-25°C). Keep out of the reach of children. Further Notes Your doctor, pharmacist or druggist can provide you with further information.

What does Denosol cold bath contain?

20 ml bath additive contain:Active ingredients Cineol (eucalyptol) 619.5 mg, rosemary oil 177 mg, dextrocamphor 177 mg, peppermint oil 88.5 mg, medicinal turpentine oil 88.5 mg, nicotine benzoate 53.1 mg. Excipients Liquid paraffin, soybean oil 7,786 g, trilaureth-4-phosphate, chlorophyll copper complex (E 141), D & C Violet NO. 2, butylated hydroxyanisole (E320) 0.2 mg.
