What is Alpinamed Comfrey Gel and when is it used?

Alpinamed Comfrey Gel is a pain-relieving gel that inhibits inflammation and promotes the healing process. The blood circulation should be improved in the area of ??the treated areas and thus also the oxygen supply in the tissue. Traditionally, Alpinamed Comfrey Gel is used:- for blunt (bloodless) sports, work and accident injuries: bruises, sprains, strains, also for sore muscles.- for the supportive treatment of rheumatic complaints (joint and muscle pain, arthrosis).

When should Alpinamed Comfrey  Gel not be used or only with caution?

Alpinamed Comfrey Gel must not be used: on open wounds, with known hypersensitivity to one of the active ingredients and in children and adolescents.If the symptoms do not improve within 10 days or if they worsen, a doctor must be consulted.This medicinal product contains 330 mg alcohol (ethanol) per 1 g gel. It can cause a burning sensation on damaged skin.Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you- suffer from other diseases,-have allergies or- take other medicines (including those you bought yourself!) or use them externally!

Can Alpinamed Comfrey Gel be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

Based on previous experience, there is no known risk for the child when used as intended. However, systematic scientific investigations have never been carried out. As a precaution, you should avoid taking medicines during pregnancy and breastfeeding or ask your doctor, pharmacist or druggist for advice.

How do you use Alpinamed Comfrey Gel?

Adults: Depending on the size of the affected area, rub a 2-5 cm long piece of Alpinamed Comfrey Gel onto the affected area up to 5 times a day and allow to dry.Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.The use and safety of Alpinamed Comfrey Gel in children and adolescents has not yet been tested.

What side effects can Alpinamed Comfrey Gel have?

The following side effects can occur when using Alpinamed Comfrey Gel: allergic skin reactions (reddening of the skin, itching of the skin). These disappear after discontinuation of the preparation. If the skin reactions persist, consult your doctor, pharmacist or druggist; pharmacist or druggist.If you notice side effects, contact your doctor, pharmacist or druggist. This also applies in particular to side effects that are not listed in this leaflet.

1g gel contains:Active ingredients:350 mg fluid extract from fresh roots of comfrey ( Symphytum officinale L., radix), drug-extract ratio 1:3-4, extraction agent: ethanol 52% (m/m), 50 mg fluid extract from the fresh herb of St. John's wort ( Hypericum perforatum L., herba), drug-extract ratio 1:1.5-2.5, extraction agent: ethanol 86% (m/m), 50 mg fluid extract from the fresh herb of the marigold ( Calendula officinalis L., herba ) , drug-extract ratio 1:1.5-2.5, extraction agent: ethanol 86% (m/m), 25 mg fluid extract from fresh peppermint herb ( Mentha piperita L., herba), drug-extract ratio 1:1.5-2.5, extraction agent: ethanol 86% (m/m), 25 mg fluid extract from the fresh herb of the purple coneflower ( Echinacea purpurea(L.)
