What is Triofan Allergy and when is it used?
Triofan Allergy lozenges are effective in the basic treatment of allergic disorders. They block the effect of histamine, which is released in the body during allergic reactions.Triofan Allergy is used in adults and children from the age of 6 to treat allergic diseases such as hay fever, allergic nasal discomfort and allergic conjunctivitis as well as chronic urticaria (which is often associated with itching).The treatment duration for children with allergic nasal discomfort must not exceed 4 weeks.
When can Triof allergy?
Patients who are hypersensitive to the active substance, other related substances or any other ingredient of Triofan Allergy should not use the preparation.
Breastfeeding women should not use Triofan Allergy. Pregnant women should only take Triofan Allergy if prescribed by a doctor.
Patients with severe kidney disease (severe impairment of kidney function with a creatinine clearance below 10 ml/min) should not take Triofan Allergy.
When should caution be taken when taking Triofan Allergy?
Children under 6 years of age should not be treated with Triofan Allergy.
Concomitant use of Triofan Allergy with theophylline (an active substance used to Treatment of shortness of breath) should only be done after consulting your doctor.Triofan Allergy and preparations containing glipizide (a drug used to treat diabetes) should not be taken together. It is recommended to take the Glipizide medication in the morning and Triofan Allergy in the evening.
Triofan Allergy should be used with caution in epileptics as it could possibly trigger seizures.
Caution should be exercised when using Triofan Allergy with sedatives or painkillers.
During treatment with Triofan Allergy, it is advisable not to drink alcohol.
When driving a motor vehicle or using machines caution is advised as taking Triofan Allergy may make you drowsy.
If you are going to have an allergy test, please ask your doctor whether you should stop taking Triofan Allergy for a few days before the test, as this medicine could affect the result of an allergy test.
In patients with a tendency to urinary retention (e.g. spinal cord injury, enlarged prostate), Triofan Allergy may increase the risk of urinary retention.
Inform Tell your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you suffer from other illnesses, have allergies or are taking other medicines (including those you bought yourself!).
Can Triofan Allergy be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
No undesirable effects have been found in animal experiments. Nevertheless, like other medicines, Triofan Allergy should not be taken during pregnancy. If you accidentally take Triofan Allergy during pregnancy, no harmful effects on the unborn child are to be expected. Nevertheless, the treatment should be stopped immediately. Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Triofan Allergy should not be taken while breast-feeding, as the active substance passes into breast milk.
How do you use Triofan Allergy?
For adults and children over 6 years of age: The usual dosage is 1 Triofan Allergy lozenge once a day.
For children from 6 to 1 2 years, the dosage can be divided into 2 intakes (half a lozenge in the morning and half in the evening).
If slight side effects (fatigue, headache, gastrointestinal disorders) occur that do not go away on their own, it is also advisable for adults to take half an Lutablet in the morning and evening.
Triofan Allergy can be taken with or without food.
The duration of treatment depends on the type, duration and course of the symptoms and is determined by the doctor.
Patients with moderate to severe kidney failure:
Patients with impaired kidney function (renal insufficiency) may receive a lower dose, which depends on the severity of the kidney disease and determined by the doctor treating you.If you forget to take Triofan Allergy, simply continue the treatment. Please do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

What side effects can Triofan Allergy have?
The following side effects can occur when taking Triofan Allergy: Slight tiredness may occur at the start of treatment. There have also been reports of mild headaches, difficulty concentrating, drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, gastrointestinal disorders (e.g. diarrhoea, abdominal pain), nausea and hypersensitivity reactions.Convulsions, movement disorders, photosensitivity reactions, liver damage, allergic shock, circulatory failure, deafness, malaise, itching, rash, urticaria, abnormal sensations on the skin, rapid heartbeat and agitation, edema (swelling), weight gain, confusion, hallucinations, insomnia, aggression, urination disorders (abnormal urination), extreme tiredness, inflammation of the veins and visual disturbances.Memory loss (amnesia), memory disorders, dizziness, urinary retention, increased appetite and suicidal thoughts may occur, the frequency of which cannot be estimated from the available data.If you experience any of these side effects, take this medicine Do not continue Triofan Allergy and tell your doctor. If you notice any side effects that are not described here, you should inform your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.
