Description - Zovirax Cream 10g

What is Zovirax cream and when is it used?

Zovirax is a drug against viruses (= antivirals), especially against the herpes virus. The active ingredient in Zovirax inhibits the herpes viruses from multiplying without affecting normal metabolic processes. The herpes viruses cause blistering on the skin and mucous membrane. The Zovirax cream is used externally for light, localized skin symptoms such as cold sores.Zovirax should only be used if your doctor prescribes it.

What precautions should be taken?

This medicine has been prescribed for you by your doctor to treat your current illness. The antiviral in Zovirax is not effective against all microorganisms that cause infectious diseases. The use of an incorrectly selected or incorrectly dosed virostat can cause complications. Therefore, never use it on your own for the treatment of other illnesses or other people.

When should Zovirax cream not be used?

Zovirax Creme must not be used in the case of known or suspected hypersensitivity to the active ingredients acyclovir and valaciclovir or to an excipient contained in Zovirax Creme (e.g. propylene glycol).

When should caution be used when using Zovirax cream?
