What is Acyclovir Helvepharm and when is it used?
Acyclovir Helvepharm is a drug against viruses (= antivirals), especially against the herpes virus. The active substance in Acyclovir Helvepharm inhibits the herpes viruses from multiplying without affecting normal metabolic processes. The herpes viruses cause blistering on the skin and mucous membrane.The Acyclovir Helvepharm cream is used externally for light, localized skin symptoms such as cold sores.Acyclovir Helvepharm should only be used if your doctor has prescribed it.
What precautions should be taken?
This medicine has been prescribed for you by your doctor to treat your current illness.The antivirals in Acyclovir Helvepharm are not effective against all microorganisms that cause infectious diseases.
